I see heavies..their everywhere

Now I have played a heavy alt for a while and enjoy it. I don't think it's OP I just think the heat could be increased a little. I remember playing with the burst HMG and the heat that builds up with that really adds a challenge to the gameplay. I seams that since certain ppl have started complaining about them being OP every newberry has started running heavies. I am all for choice but it ruins the game play dynamic if everyone rolls the same.

I am running on my alt heavy account and am using the first lvl HMG and that is all I skilled into and am melting people faster then they can imagine. It is easy mode running with a HMG. And holly **** they have some range.

And holly **** they have some range. look at their skills, can get boosts of: 35% range increase, 25% damage increase, 35% reduction to heat. all weapons have something similar, but noobs versus a tricked out HMG are just fodder for your kill count. if you are out SP'ed, you're most likely gonna feel the pain

The equipment slot also adds more variations of assault. Heavies should be slightly rarer I think. It's clearly newberries using them because I see them running abt in the open taking on geks at range

But what exactly do you expect a bunch of AV troops running around looking for tanks that no one can afford yet. Wait until a few months in when ppl are spec'ing into tanks and such the population will diversify.

A well spec'ed Heavy can punch it's weight as SP begins to build up, but the low level Heavies being able to hit this hard will see a sharp drop off. It's just like militia HAVs, they're useful now but get a couple guys with access to darksides and L5 swarms and militia HAVs become essentially free points. Toss a Type-I Heavy against a well spec'ed Assault coughrangecough and you'll see an Assaulter laugh. 0.02 ISK Cross

Give it a few weeks then we will begin to see QQ about how the high level heavy is garbage.
