This happen randomly and the story is...
I wanted to try a tactic of calling in a LAV while falling from a MCC but as I did thati noticed I was closed to the ground
So I mased the X button hoping I could active the dampeners and I guess I hit the X button just before I hit the ground (was in order menu) I hit the x button just in time to engae the safe fail after calling in the LAV
But when I hit the ground I ha 0 health and 0 shields but I was still alive
I was in a assault suit
I remember seeing a post about failing from the MCC in a scout suit without dampeners with a scout suit.....guess I beat you to it in a assault suit ;/ |

Can't call a LAV from mid air, however, you can have the menu opened up and press X midway to call it faster on the ground. |

you can call it mid air, but must hit the ground before the final x. boost before going into menu. |

It all depends on whether the MCC is located above the even ground or not; sometimes you can call vehicles, sometimes not. But, of course, be sure to activate Dampeners first, lest you have a great chance of splattering just like your average blueberry or redberry in the beginning of the match.
BTW, you can also select an order while falling down, so that you just have to mark the target afterwards.
OP: I guess it was just a bug, or maybe assault suits are actually supposed to barely survive after such a fall. After all, you can survive a fight with 0 HP, happened to me several times. |
