 So here is the deal.
We all want this game to be successful.
One of the ways that success is judged is by quality and polish.
A way to improve the quality of the game is to simply add more programmers and watchful eyes.
 Programmers cost money to employee
The game generates money through AUR purchases
More players = More AUR purchases
More "votes" in the SP cap poll makes it look like more players play the game
More apperant players attracts more actual players through Social proof (Bandwagon, someone else is doing it, So I will)
Who in turn attract more players who make more AUR purchases
So in order to hire more programmers, we must simulate more players through distorted vote totals. American Idol knows this, and so do you.
 Vote yes on 1
 And 2
 And 3
 And 4
And maybe even 5. You are doing everyone in the game a disservice if you dont.

This thread is for a serious discussion of improving the game. Not name calling.

Why don't we just use polls to show our real opinions.

If you are honestly this worried about the game not looking popular why don't you send CCP an email about your viral marketing ideas

Also Necromongers surprised me on the battlefield today. I've never heard of you guys but your squad went about 60-5 on the ground.

Thanks. We are just trying to win the game for our team. But in return I steal kills indiscriminately.

That makes no sense at all. Just because there are more players joining everyday doesn't necessarily = more AUR purchases. I've yet to use AUR.

Also the illusion of a mass of players doesn't attract others, the game does. So rigging the vote=no effect other than screwing up the vote.

I disagree. With more players comes a bigger incentive for prestige. A player will spend money to win so that he looks cool. If it can make you look cool on the internet people will spend money on it.

In addition more players would represent an increase in the pool of wealth for the game to draw off. I don't see how this could make a game LESS profitable

It is arguable that this whole thing would be easier if there were more options to vote for.

I'm fairly certain the forum posters can't possibly account for all the people that play this game. If you want people to think massive numbers of players abound here, then just link them Chribba's Dustboard. 110K additional players since I checked it yesterday.

Whether new players, or new characters, isn't really that relevant when you look at the 835K player total 5 days following the move to open Beta. Actually, chances are they are mostly new players given Dust is a completely new shooter for many bored console gamers to try.

Edit: Also, your ideas terrible. Vote honestly please, as you are negating the influence of your vote entirely by following that approach. Indecisive is indecisive; don't paint it as something else.

Feel free to link me a screenshot of exactly what Norton feels is a virus on that site, seeing as the only thing it could react on would be some javascripts and flash, besides that there's only text...

They seem to be tracking your vote. So the tactic will nullify four votes. You can vote with three alts however. But they also know how the DUST514 names track to PSN account they might just ignore your alt. Personally as a programmer I would ignore all multiple votes. Having read the OP the programmer can easily negate not only every vote the OP made but all the votes of every multiple vote made after Marketing Genius Boi took to the forums. It makes it seem like they have no idea how easy a report is to generate.

I went and changed my vote before MGB and it wanted me to unlike my previous like. So someone is paying attention.
