Fivetimes Infinity wrote:Friendly fire would be fine provided the penalties for engaging in it during non-corp battles are severe. Really, the World of Tanks approach would work fine. Have heavy financial penalties for team damage/killing, eventually have team killers designated as such and be fair game to anyone on your team or the enemy team, and then start moving on to temporary and permanent bans if the teamkilling persists even then.
World of Tanks is a free-to-play game and has friendly fire, and its friendly fire is a good part of the game. It prevents silly stuff like carelessly shooting artillery near allies, and yet it's intelligent enough that accidental hits to an ally now and then aren't a big deal. Yet, if someone begins attacking numerous allies in a short period of time, they will quickly find themselves an open target for reprisal, and eventually be temporarily banned. Further such excess TKs/team damages and you get banned for longer, and eventually banned outright. It's probably the only way to make a free to play game like Dust or World of Tanks have friendly fire in typical games without everything being ruined by team killers. The only thing that would deter people in this game would be the risk that they'd lose their account. As much as I want FF to be turned on, it would just be too easy to make new alt accounts specifically for griefing. I'm not against griefing by no means, but there is no real risk in it and it would most likely get way out of hand down the road. |

I'm just getting really annoyed when my own teammate sits there and shoots me, right in front of me..and then whenever the person dies..comes back and shoots me again...Over and over just like a cycle..I couldn't even play the game.. I couldn't help my team win the battle. I think there should be penalties involved..
Like I said before..I doesn't matter if I'm Hellstorm or not..it happens wether I was Hellstorm or a Generic Company... Lol wat? |

Like I said before..I doesn't matter if I'm Hellstorm or not..it happens wether I was Hellstorm or a Generic Company... Most likely what happened was the guy that kept coming back to pester you, was somebody you had slaughtered in a previous match. So they took it upon themselves to grief you as much as humanly possible because they were pissed. And since they were on your team, there was nothing you could do (well except nade-cook kill them, or ghost em with a LAV). But I agree, if this starts happening on a more frequent basis (which it will, far too many grieved newberries playing) then CCP will have to come up with something. At the very least, an in-game reporting feature. This guy keeps shooting me, it does no damage but it makes me angry |
