There was some video blog/interview posted recently where one of the devs mentioned this. I can't remember exactly what he said, but it was something along the lines that they wanted to have the release build done around or by then. |

Well, they have been on record as saying that they don't intend for Dust to be something considered in perpetual beta, like gmail. I agree that essentially it will always be a beta, but they do intend to have an "official release". |

I very much doubt that CCP is pressing this time table. If I were to venture a guess I would say SONY had a bigger guiding hand in the recent push. Especially since the PS4 is rumored to be released later this year in an attempt to get a jump on its competitors. |

No. There will be an official launch to capitalize on the media interest and reviews, and allowing a Sony/CCP marketing blitz. |

I heard rumors of the official release planned for the summer (think it was an interview, although don't remember which one). CCP will surely have to add a lot of content before that time though.
