voice chat is on
PTT is off
Squad voice is activated
He can hear everybody, but we can't hear him talk.
He's gone under accessory settings and can hear his mic just fine, and his mic works with every other game but DUST. |

if he's got a usb camera or any other mic inputs, try unplugging them.
i had a usb camera set to "do not use" and when i turned on my headset it would show up fine int he accessories screen, but Dust appeared to be using the "do not use" value from the usb camera.
* either unplugging the usb camera or telling the ps3 to use the usb camera mic BEFORE turning on my headset worked for me. |

Lets back up a bit...
1. when you go into ps3 settings, and into audio setup are they all set to his "mic"-you dont have to leave game to do this.
but make sure that volume meter is working. you may even have to hit triangle to "connect" the mic.
2. still in those settings, when he speaks, make sure its at least hitting 50% of the volume meter or people just wont hear him in the game.
3. In game settings- is voice enabled? yes-no? Also is push to talk on yes - no. sometimes its saying yes here and he doesnt know that you have to push that button to talk...put to no for now just for the time being to see if its working.
4. If your talking in corp or squad chat did he buy the uvt for 1k aur...if not go buy it. and go in and activate it in augmentations..
5. final thing to do sometimes if its just not enabling right you have to click on squad, put enable voice, then click on corp and put enable voice, the switching back and forth can fix a glitch...
