just a minor gripe, currently if you get "downed" and revived by a teammate, you still get +1 death added to your death stat
is not better to refund the death penalty since your teammate just revived you?
it could make more people wait to get revived instead of bleeding out instantly |

Just pretend its your downed stat instead, and imagine your K/D as your kill to downed ratio. |

This would require people losing either kills and/or WP after someone revives someone that they killed, which would cause an outrage, and a flurry of bug reports from people who would say that they randomly lost kills/WP. Otherwise it would also raise the average K/D ratio, which wouldn't make any sense and it would be an unreliable statistical source. |

If I remember right in BF3 your death do not count towards your KD if you are revived but your killer still gets the kill. This would be a fair solution for Dust as well. |

Like I said, it would raise the average K/D ratio, which wouldn't make any sense. The average K/D ratio of everyone should be exactly 1, because math and logic say so. Of course, suicides can break this law, because if suicide was a player the player average would still be 1. |

It would not be very fair at all actually. Your stats should accurately reflect how you perform in battle. If you die a lot, you become a liability because that means someone has to take the time to revive you. That makes the reviver at risk for death by stray red dots and it also means that there are 2 less people defending/assaulting a position for a while.
Deaths/downs/incapacitations should always count on your official death count. If you want to have a high KD, stay in a defensive position, know your surroundings and take the route less traveled. Oh, and die less. |

Ah I see your point. But in Skirmish matches it can be necessary to sacrifice a clone for the victory (or an important chokepoint). Theoretically you are not dead when you get revived your team don't lose a clone and you don't lose your fitting. Appart from this the logi gets his 60+ WP for risking his life while reviving and repairing.
Don't get me wrong I have absolutly no problem with the current implementation. But maybe such a solution would drive players looking strictly at their KD/R more into the action and more towards winning the match. |

No need to have a death subtracted... youre too worried about your kdr. You'll be saving the isk that your fit cost... that is enough. |

Getting to keep the fitting is far more valuable than getting your death refunded. Right now you dont see it but when your fit costs 250-300K each getting revived means alot more. |

Too true man. I do hate it when someone revives me right as i get gunned down once more not even a second later. But we do get to save our fit. Although, (KDR aside) constant deaths due to revive in open firefights aren't as fun as they sound. This one is really on us. Not everything requires CCP to adjust, tweak, nerf, and remove. Our tools just need to be used the correct way. I'll be more careful when reviving downed players. I can hope other medics will return the favor. |

I tend to agree with those who disagree on this. Losing stuff and losing a gunfight are two different things. A medic shouldnt "erase" a lost fight. |

Maybe a fix to being revived while under fire would be that after the other player revies you you have to hit the X button to be revived, then they get the points and you pop back up. This would stop those that dont care that you are revived in the heat of battle and just keep bringing you up to let you fall over and over again to farm the WP from the revive. If you see an enemy camping on you then you dont acept the revive. Heck there are times you want to be down so you can watch the path for your team mates. |
