Hello all,
One mechanic I heartily approve of are the Blueprints, in place of bulk purchasing dropsuits, weapons and etc,
While I realize that we're still in Beta, I feel there should be at least some blueprints available for purchase by ISK for the more advanced gear. I realize that making it possible to purchase level 5 gear blueprints might not be the best idea for the sake of balance.
As things stand, however, it may ultimately be too expensive for a merc to afford their higher level gear without grinding through however many matches they need to save up the ISK to afford their loadout again. This being exclusive to what may or may not be available for interaction between Mercs and Capsuleers.
I would suggest having Bluprints available for each piece of gear that requires level 1 training in it's applicable skill - Dropsuits, weapons, modules and vehicles. As a part of this proposal, I would also suggest making said blueprints available for ISK only, and making them relatively expensive. I would also suggest such for versions of gear that requires level 3 training, again at significant expense.
I would hope that such an implementation of the blueprints would ensure that mercs still have fallback options at higher tiers of play, without worrying about needing to use the starting tier Blueprints (all of which currently cost AUR) to achieve the loadout they wnat to have. Further, I feel if it's possible to have blueprints for Dropsuits, weapons and modules, it should also be possible for (lower level) vehicles - again to save on what can easily become an exorbitant expense. |

NO no more standard blueprints EVER.
This is a game all about risk so removing that risk hurts the game. You may not be able to run all of your best gear all the time but that's pretty much how this game is meant to work you use the good stuff in matches like pubs but pull out the really good stuff for corp matches and eventually taking planets for eggers
so no their will probably not be anymore BPO standards unless they are special rewards. Also if their are they will not be ISK they will cost AUR because CCP wants to make money |

The militia blueprints were priced out of reasonable reach to ensure that, like Eve, people wrap their heads around the idea that blueprints are the rare exception to the rule of limited stock. Also like Eve, the devs will be aiming for a structure where most blueprints are highly valuable and openly tradeable to give people and corps something to covet. |

In EVE BPOs are used to make BPCs and the item itself unlike dust which currently gives the item to you as a permanent item. |

I dunno, I like the fact that people invest and place more value on their suits, it makes them play smarter. |

BPO in Dust 514 should be named BIA (Bulk Item Access) or similiar. Dont use BPO because people get it wrong.
This is only license to get item from store without isk price and only (in general) meta 0 and 1 (militia and basic stuff). If NO item at store ... BIA do not work (soon tm)
1. Mercs got ilussion that their fit may cost 0 (price pay corp trader and manufacturer). There is nothing like free stuff in this world. You make your 100k ISK fit like 0 ISK fit via BIA and you happy? Yes we too, our salvage stays at 100K. If you dont want fuel this gear of war... dont die. 2. Basic BIA only via AUR, turneys, game events. 3. High meta BIA only for best few from gladiators arena or tourneys. 4. LIA (Limited Item Acces) from drops/loot and this go with mercs item vault where he/she is.

I do think the pricing is off though. I mean in Eve you can buy your basic fit and ship and it cost's like nothing. I mean really, nothing. Better stuff comes with a pricetag though.
In dust you do pay a LOT in comparison. Your basic militia gear is nowhere as cheap as the stuff in Eve. I do admit I like the pricing of Dust perhaps more, but it's not about dust and eve, it's about both of them.
Suddenly the metal in dropsuits is more expensive than in spaceships? What gives? |

I think the prices for stuff, especially the higher end stuff, is under priced actually. If I go on a terrible dying streak, I want the option of streaking through the battlefield with a pistol to regain points. Even if you aren't great, it's not too hard to kill someone without them hitting you back. I mean it's not like halo where you're shooting at someone for days and they can still turn around and slice you with a sword. |

Perhaps for higher tier gear you can still have blueprints but they would cost an enormous amount of ISK/AUR and wouldn't make the item free but simply lower the cost. So it would be a pretty big investment upfront but would ultimately pay off if you plan to use that item for a long time. |

For this in Eve exist 'standings'. More standing with corporation less you pay for services. It make sense and make people to move over universe for better prices.
For Dust you got standings (up and down) when you will fight for some factions (soon tm). Now ammount of players are low, so we fight for all and standings dont work. |

i like the fact that when i blow up someones tank it makes them cry in the corner for a few minutes... blurprints would cause them to just insta spawn a new one in with no regard to his bank.

Yeah everyone here is basically right. The entire New Eden universe revolves around careless people losing expensive things and everyone laughing at their bad plays. Giving people unlimited shiny toys to play with would ruin the tear farming business. |

BPOs at a higher level than militia are the bane of Dust already. Making more of them is going to turn the game into P2W since you'll need at least full standard gear to compete then. Which for a bad player will only be affordable by using real money to buy. |
