the past two days, 95% of the games I play devolve into my team redline camping the enemy. this is very bad. not only is it boring (or frustrating for the enemy team) but its also preventable with in-game strategy (drop-uplinks, lucky vehics, etc) However...
JL3Eleven and I thought it might make skirmish not only more dynamic, but also look pretty epic if the MCC's would "orbit" the map. this would make it far more difficult to spawn camp, and it would awesome.
another, more extreme idea would be if one team starts redlining, somehow a trigger would switch the default spawns. or something to that effect. ideas? comments? |

The better solution is to have the spawn points not able to be camped by the use of terrain. The 5-point skirmish map is a great example of things going horribly wrong. Once one side gets a hold of the map, the match is over. |

I believe this isnt a current problem closed beta has played with the current boundries and terrain /spawn points for the past year more or less and it arrived at it current state after us pushing the limits of a red line im sorry but witjh the current system if the team got red lined its there own dam fault it is way to easy currently to not only escape a redline but also prevent it by actually fighting back. |

Both sides have some good points.
First, the tendency to rush the other sides Red Line is the boring part. It is understandable but unfortunate that this is happening with noobs. When the rushed side is not noobs sometimes everything just went the wrong way.
Second, it is their own Kitten fault. How do you teach them not to do that? Well, Dude, they are noobs. They are trying to figure out how grenades work! Great Kitten, give 'em a break.
If you are running with a bunch of noobs (often indicated by the generic Corp names) go into teaching mode. My take is to drive hard into the middle of the area and hold a Letter Objective. If I have access to a Turret in the open I will use it. Or run one of my Militia Heavy Fits and 'Hold The Line'. I have turned the battle on more than one occasion by not letting one Letter change hands. The noobs run to the unprotected Letter to get points ... and killed but they are moving and don't get Red Lined. I am a Sniper/Logi Bro but I run whatever is needed so that is the deal with Militia Heavy. I suppose I should say Logi Bro/Sniper as that is how it seems to work these days.
I used to just drive to my own goals and I still will on occasion. Testing out my Fit for the Tact Sniper, a Stealth Scout or my three Equip Slot Logi Bro with dual Hives and an Uplink. But those moments tend to be more rare than everyday events now.
Mark some of the noobs and tell them what they were doing wrong, standing on that side of the Turret will let the Sniper take you out. Oh! I thought I was in the Turret. That conversation actually happened. I also dope slapped a noob that stole a friends HAV and only managed to get 25 WP for the entire match. Told another I have their name and I will not forget it. If they want help fine, if not I will not forget the name.
My KDR has taken a dive since the Invasion of the Noobs. But it is creeping back up. And I am finding others that have a mic. The difference is night and day of course, but noobs don't know that. When I find someone I will work with them. An occasional noob will ask how we pulled that move off and I get to reply to email that says, "we had mics". |

Just make it so that no projectiles can enter or exit the redzone, except vehicles exiting the redzone.I understand that wont sit with some due to the dominating feeling that comes with the redline/spawn trap. |

Know I know ur a sniper for u hit this thread in its heart and though I dont take as an active role in. Public noobs but everytime I get a guy from my eve corp joining dust or ps3 friend ill immediatly get them into a squad and first battle is showing them the ropes after that they get going just fine. Last one I endup helping had participated in matches were standards are dominate and he was pulling decent k/d without me sitting on a nice tower following him with a sniper rifle |

This would definitely make matches more interesting if the MCC's rotated around the map (even if they just constantly moved around the outside of the map directly opposite of one another). |

Pretty cool idea, I support it. I'll add another one: if the enemy team has had a 3/3 or 4/5 hold for more than X time (or whatever mechanism to determine that redlining is occurring) players on the red lined team can pick pick a location of their choosing to skydrop to. |

95%? You either aren't or shouldn't be redlining them that much. Shame on you! |
