this is probably waaaaay off in the distance, but if they introduce new dropsuits, like one for each race and class as someone has stated before, wouldn't we need more avatars? And would the current ppl be able to change this minor thing once the new stuff is introduced? cuz i know how irreversible everything is in eve.... |

Yes they will come with time , The next update should add a little more dropsuit options for us (At least it's what I hope...) |

hmm, well then if they do have new avatars, do you think they'll let us change them on our old characters? I feel like they wouldn't... -_- |

Although I would like to see full "human" DUST avatars eventually, I've come to the conclusion that it's better if they keep us in our dropsuits for the time being.
The reason is simple - without a robust, highlight-supporting chat system in DUST, the only way to know if a person is an EVE player is to see their beautifully-rendered Incarnatar next to their name.
Fix the chat system, then look at giving us faces.
But for now, having a 1 dropsuit = 1 avatar program is our best solution.
P.S. one could also give us a decal system - we take our dropsuits and put corp logos, faction emblems, or other assorted stickers on the helmets to make us a little more unique. |
