Just a few tales of novelty anti tank fun I've done/seen in the last few days The first being killing a tank who's driver thought it would be a good idea to try and drive it over road blocks, he ended up getting stuck, I ran in started tossing AV grenades, tossed down a hive, The driver and his 2 passengers exited said tank, I assume the gunner were blueberries since they dropped like rocks but the driver seeing he couldn't win hopped back in his tank and tried to shoot me, turns out I was in the tiny blind spot so he was hopping in and out of his tank to try kill me in the time I took to throw a grenade, took a good 8 grenades to down the thing but I got it in the end and the driver who tried to run away got blown up =D.
The next I saw wasn't actually me it was rather odd to be honest the other team had 2 tanks and they were driving about killing as tanks do then someone got fed up and went and got his swarm launcher out, as I was sprinting over you see tank A sitting there blasting away then enter from left screen tank B being chased by swarm missiles. Tank B collides with Tank A and runs it over destroying it killing the 2 guys inside Tank B takes a huge amount of damage the guy scrambles to get out just as the swarms hit and blows up tank B and hurls his corpse landing at my feet.
And finally today was in squad with a few of my corp mates, just hacked a point took off in my Baloch and heard over the coms, "Look out, Tank is heading east". I turn down a road and see it limp into view almost dead my squad mate who had been pummeling it was out of range to kill it and it had already chewed through my shields in a few shots so I did what came naturally... I rammed it. Blew us both up, was worth it. Up in the corner "Novashadowstorm has committed suicide" "(Name) Died Baloch" Next over the coms I hear:
"Tank's dead, didn't get any WP though"
"Why not? What happened?"
"I think Nova rammed it to finish it off"
"Lol that Nova"
It made me smile. Anyway hope that amused you and hope to see you all in game, see you on the killing fields o/
Edit: Ah I forgot one. We were holding all 3 points on a map you know the one with the roads all around and the big fort like building in the middle? Not sure what it's called, but anyway we held all 3 points, and set up a line of defense along the walls facing the enemy. For some reason I can't comprehend they called in tanks. Not much room to move tanks around inside the fort so not sure why you'd call them in but regardless they did. Now thing is my squad and another squad were all armed with Swarms and FG's I think you can see where I'm going with this but for those who can't the moment a tank came in the Bolas would go down and the tanks were crushing/exploding the people who called them or they got onto the ground then were exploded. I'm not sure what they were thinking because seriously they dropped like 10 tanks that game and none made it very far but that didn't seem to stop them calling them down whats with that? Still we got a crap load of WP and alot of laughs. |
