This garbage variant of Ambush you created has failed miserably. Nobody likes it, please get rid of it ASAP.
Redline in Ambush? Having to run 2 miles to reach the action? Whoever gets the CRU first wins most of the time? Stay off the hallucinogens CCP, please. Fix the real spawning problem instead of masking it with this crap (even for you guys this is an extremely piss poor half-assed solution).
Also whoever at your studio thought this was a good idea, please fire them immediately. They will only bring down your team and kill the game. |

You know, I actually think they would be decent if they just had at least four or five CRUs and Supply Depots, and you couldn't snipe from the redline. |

That wouldn't be so bad, granted the CRU's were spaced apart in a balanced manner between each teams default spawns. But since they haphazardly added only one CRU per map, it is just so wrong!! Since that CRU is usually always closer to one teams default spawn than the other.
I would rather endure the random spawn deaths than this, in all honesty. And that says a LOT about how bad this new skirmbush setup is.

I agree that the lone CRU creates too much imbalance on the maps but the default spawning is still much better than the way it was before. |

Play skirmish if you want to rely on uplinks. Ambush was perfectly fine aside from the default spawns that put you in the middle of four enemies or in front of one.
Nobody should have to run uplinks in ambush. It's kind of like using a tank in ambush, it's lame and doesn't belong.

If you play for SP and not for fun, then yeah, I agree. Sitting back at base using nothing but the safe and comfortable turrets all match net me more SP than I usually ever got in a standard ambush match. But it's still pure garbage.
Ambush is all about quick-paced action-packed gameplay, now is like a wheelchair race with these ******** skirmbush spawns. |

Couldn't agree more, well organised groups should have a few players carrying these and be responsible for taking care to replace when they get destroyed for whatever reason.

and if you do this you may as well do away with snipers all together, CCP have already removed most of the high spots that snipes would use by putting them in the red line, put barriers on top of buildings, removed ladders from others and pugh HUGH goddam walls on maps so you cant see a bloody thing. Now you want to remove what redline snipers managed to find too.
Personally I like the big maps, we had maps in the past EXCELLENT for snipers now some not so good for snipers so all in all things are balancing out when they all return as i'm sure they will eventually.
Also try to remember that there will be a hugh number of variations to come.......

I don't care where they are as long as they're not in the redline.

There are plenty of sniper spots not in the red line.....they just arent completely safe sniper spots like they are in the redline.....IE the sniper has to pay attention or someone will come up behind them and stab them in the back. If you get rid of WP accumulation in the red line that would pretty much eliminate the redline sniper since alot of SP will now be coming from WPs you accumulate. |

So you say. The idea of drop links to control the spawning of your team belongs in ALL the game modes. QQ'ing like this doesn't get CCP's attention. It just gives them a reason to stop reading and to ignore the post entirely.
The recent "skirmish" as you put it is a different variation to the "ambush" model, particularly I enjoy it OVER randomly spawning in front of 5-12 OPFOR and getting raped.

I think this is a great solution. And mind you one that has been suggested before. CCP, PLEASE implement this. Take the incentive of redline sniping away by taking away their ability to gain WP. |
