In-game description: Utilizing technology based on Nano technology and Shield containment, the Nanite Override System or most commonly known as the "Patsy Round" is a type of ammunition designed to corrupt an enemies IDENT tags, marking them as enemies to their allies. its most infamous and ingenious use of this round was in the assassination of a Federation Admiral, whose corrupted IDENT tags caused military drones to open fire.
While the Nanites were inefficient in infiltrating the shielded barrier surrounding a target, the Microscale Harmonic Shielding containing the tiny machines was. the primary Philosophy behind modern shields was to absorb and expel energy, the Patsy round does the opposite. when the round strikes the target, the opposite qualities of both shields cancel each other out, leaving the nanites free to infiltrate and infect the target, tricking the suits systems that they originate from a repair kit. as an added and unexpected bonus, any help from a repair kit greatly speeds up the effects.
Effects: Temporarily renders you an enemy to your allies leaving you potentially vulnerable to attack. Repair kits from any and all sources speed up this effect and extend the time you are marked. Higher forms of this ammunition can render your Friend or foe system disabled for a short time.
Compatibale with: currently compatible with sniper rifles, pistols, SMG's and swarm launchers,

As a logi i approve of this type of ammo... only if i get it for mass driver rounds... tagging entire enemy squads oh the mischief would ensue! |

although i would have liked to see (Or fear the MD even more), i thought of it as more of a covert-ops type of ammunition.
Also, like the nanohive, once depleted you cant use a nanohive to refill your patsy ammunition.
MD's are built for one purpose: that's to cause big booms.
