I wonder what they put there...
By the way, in the same second, the three weapon slots shown are Heavy, Light, and Sidearm... Which proves my hypothesis from another thread that you'd be able to fit Forge Guns, as well as other heavy weapons, on Assault dropsuits. |

Check the moment right before the weapons go into their slots, it clearly says H, L, S. It's the same precise moment when you can see the tri-dash high-powered slot symbols.
P.S. Here us a screenshot from my phone: http://imgur.com/hlvj4J8.jpg
I also just noticed how it says H, M, L, most likely standing for High, Medium, and Low. I wonder if it's just a different name for Heavy, Light, Sidearm, or weapons are going to be classified differently now... Probably the former. |

Fivetimes Infinity wrote:Zekain Kade wrote:Or maybe it was all just for show. Not actually game play. Unlikely with respect to the dropsuit stuff. Having a substantially different dropsuit fitting screen isn't something they'd do "just for show". The only people who'd notice it is different are people who've played Dust. Everyone else will see it and not have much idea what it is beyond some kind of configuration screen. The additional of a M slot for weapons, the removal of the grenade slot, and the conversion of the High module slot icon to be the same as EVE, with the three lines instead of two lines, are all fairly significant changes. They have no artistic basis, either. This wouldn't be the first time we've gotten a preview of aspects of a forthcoming build from promotional stuff CCP has done. For example, we got to see female dropsuits for the first time during that Chinese game show a few months back, whatever it was called. As all of the changes we see in the dropsuit screen are changes that make sense to me, I'm more inclined to believe they're indicative of a broader change to how dropsuits will be configured, rather than arbitrary changes CCP made because they figure people seeing two seconds of a starter assault suit with two Low module slots rather than one would be really awesome.
+1. I don't remember CCP showing us anything in vain, especially such small details. Clearly, at the very least the fitting screen will change in the next build or two. |

Hehaw Jimbo wrote:If you're familiar with EVE, you should know that CCP's game trailers lie. Their EVE trailers are always spiffed up to look cool, when a ton of the stuff shown isn't actually in the game, doesn't work how the video shows, or has significantly better graphical effects than the actual in-game. It's something a lot of people have criticized over the years. They're meant to attract new players and look awesome, but in general, aren't very accurate to how things really are.
Could you please post here a screenshot from an EVE trailer where they showed a starship fitting screen, and some details there were inaccurate? If there is one, then I'll believe you. Otherwise... right now you have just words and assumptions, while Fivetimes Infinity and I have evidence to support our argument. |

@Fivetimes Infinity - There seems to be no point whatsoever in arguing with those who don't read this thread... *Sigh* They just come, post their "invaluable" input, and leave. I wonder if they'll believe devs when the latter announce these changes.
@Everyone else who states the whole trailer is a lie - bring counter-evidence to back up your claim, otherwise your prejudiced assumptions can't be considered valid arguments. |
