Well tomorrow is open beta and with that comes a flood of new people. Us closed beta...ers.... may soon be drowned out by the sheer volume of people this message board may soon have to endure. In honor of our last night together I would like to know what some of your fondest memories of the closed beta are. Anything that just put a smile on your face. Mine has got to be the time when I was thrown into ambush with no one else in the match except for one other person. After spending a ridiculous amount of time trying to kill each other we just decided to have fun, and ended up playing chicken with two drop-ships until the match was over. Anyways its been a blast fighting in battle with all of you these past few months so cheers! See you guys on the other side! |

For me, too many good times on the field to even remember all of them. But honestly, my best times were right here in this forum with you guys.
Bitching, banter, criticism, heated discussions, hilarious posts and even more hilarious answers/responses.
This tight little community we've created over the months is alot of fun to be around, and even better with you guys on the field. May the noobs never take that away for we shall strike them down should they try.

One of my fondest memories of the closed beta took place when I leaped down from the MCC, didn't press the "X" button soon enough and cratered not only myself, but also the poor bluedot that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time! |

I'll step on this landmine and assume you're new here.
Blue dots are allies, shown as blue dots on the minimap/HUD radar with an arrow indicating the way they are facing. Blueberries is just another term for blue dots.
"Dumbass" is the term reserved for people who continually make QQ nerf threads.
There's your DUST terminology lesson, I need to mock someone and fill my quota now. |

The first skirmish map that had the two com centers before it progressed to the three. That was the best map they had for this game but people found every way to break it (tanks), and it hasn't been seen since.

Blue Dot: A teammate that does not seem to be in direct communication with you and therefore not working with the team/squad.
Blueberry: As per previous entry, plus actively acting like a...Well acting like someone who's a little late to class. Actively shooting/grenading/knifing friendlies, letting red dots stroll casually by, etc. See also: "Moron" "Idiot" and "Never go full blueberry" |

To be honest, played 2 weeks ago as the PS+ beta was available, hadn't given it a thought since, but this game gave me some good beta memories. (Playing it again as we speak)
That one person that kept trying to hipfire his sniper rifle while in optimal shotgun range for me. I gave him 10 shots, then he died.
Seeing an enemy drop a vehicle and immediatly run of. I proceed to hack it, and run over said player. (I assume it was the drop caller, he was the only enemy around)
Thinking I have a great sniper position, only to be shotgunned in the back .
Fighting 2 enemies, both nearly dead, and someone snipes me from behind.
Even dying in this game can be fun at times. |

Ah, the Precursor build, when I first tried out Logi suit and realized this was for me. One of the determining moments was when I was playing with a friend, we got into a very sticky situation, and I managed to keep him alive so he could clear out the raspberries. I had to revive him three times and quickly switch to rep tool, while dodging enemy bullets! He praised my medic skills greatly after that battle, so I kinda decided to go that way. Even got a mail around two months ago, where a player saw me on the battlefield and invited me into his corporation. |

My best memory is winning the torny match by cloneing with only 2 ticks left on the mcc. That was a rush I strongly hope I get take part in many more matches like that :-) |
