Folks asking about nerf this and nerf that and then when they get CCP to grant them what they want?? QQ and butthurt.
I.e. the SP cap changed from weekly to daily since there was whining about it and now that its daily we get QQ and more QQ.

cause - they did it wrong?
But hey - let's damn everyone for having an opinion. Even if it's done in a constructive manner. |

I just don't get how it was done wrong. You are still able to get just as much SP in a week as you were able to during the weekly cap. I feel like it is much like most MMOs out there you can get on daily and hit your cap, well I know most of us actually can't get on everyday and do that. Most of us have lives.
But just because you missed a reset is not somebody else problem and this universe is meant to be rough and unforgiving. Well how more unforgiving can it be if they have a daily reset with no roll over. Honestly though how bad can it be for you if you miss a couple of days here and there. I mean it is only 25,000 to 40,000 SP you miss a day that you don't make it on. I know that probably 95% of the population will not make it on everyday maybe even more than that. It is just to me I don't see it being such a problem. I would like it to be a certain way that catered to my life style and play style but, CCP does not want it that way and they want it the way they have it. If you have an issue at this point I really don't think that they care.
The way it is set know it will take time to get where you want to go. Before this build it was them trying out another way of SP progression we complained we didn't like it, so they changed it to how it is now. Before that there was no grind at all, as much you played is how much you earned(at least that is the way that I saw I might not have played enough then to really get to the grind). That was also during a test phase of high end gear and vehicles, well I am guessing they got their data and now they have it were they want it for the most part. Yes there will be changes here and there to suit what is needing something. Hell they may even change this SP system if people complain enough. But my point is they have it the way they want it for a reason and if this is how they want it all the complaining in the world will not change how CCP wants a game they are making to be. |

:-)
Sota with all due respect. " they did it wrong " ?
CCP did exactly what the people on the forums asked for, they changed from a weekly to daily SP cap. I would have to completely agree with the OP that now those same people after getting what THEY asked for are now whining again. Unfortunately I think CCP listens too much to the whiners in a lot of cases. Many of the threads complaining about the weekly cap were far from constructive. It was obvious then and is now still obvious the people whining about a weekly cap had not thought out to conclusion well all the consequences of the change they were SCREAMING for. I expressed my opinion that the SP cap should be left alone (I have made many of these leave things alone suggestions) and was bashed for it. Hardly constructive.
The absolute craziness of it is I have seen more than one of the people who were the most vocal about wanting change from weekly to daily are now posting the same whine unconstructive posts about how after they got what they asked for its still not good enough for them now that they realize they were wrong but won't admit it.
People are more than entitled to their opinions including the OP that the whiners on the forums are not helping the game as much as they are hurting it. Now ultimately I be live CCP is more at fault than anyone for this since they are choosing what changes to make.
When you say CCP did it wrong I can't really understand how you can say that since they did exactly what they were asked to do.
I respect you and your opinion Sota but I think you are laying the blame here in the wrong place and find it strange that you would admonish the OP for having an opinion by saying its OK for everyone else to have one but him. |

I'm not going to bother quoting because I don't want to call anybody out, but defending the current SP system by saying people got what they wanted is not accurate. Not everybody wantedto return to a daily cap. Furthermore, its been stated dozens of times that people want a rollover system with a hard cap or an over all persistent SP pool. Its not a matter of whose etitled to have an opinion. Nobody should be in favor of a system that punishes people for not being able to sign in and cap out seven days a week.
My appologies to everybody. I should've let this thread die since it was four pages back...and this issue has been beat to death. I just don't think people should be defending the current system by saying its what everybody wanted. Let's hope CCP gets the final system in place soon. |

as prime says - we voiced for a daily cap, but none of us considered that the hard cap would be so low. Had we of known back then I'm sure there would of been a lot more voices asking for a roll-over cap instead.
And my comment wasn't ment to seem like the OP shouldn't have an opinion of his own - my bad if it came off that way. |

Its aight SoTa. I understood what u meant when u said they did it wrong. At any rate its my understanding that a hybrid system is in the works to be instated as the final mechanic and what we have now is temporary. Ive not heard anything about a time frame though. |
