no? next time you are to spawn, just sit back and get distracted by something. After a time with your character not spawning, the eve lady scolds you and tells you you have a mark in your file. She goes on and on about being contractually obligated to fight and whatnot.
I was just curious if this currently, or in a future build, will lead to some kind of penalty? |

I doubt it actually has any impact on the game itself, mostly just to make you feel bad for not deploying into battle. |

That mark shows up whenever you squad, apply for a corp, take a contract... Anything!
It's to tell everyone else that this merc enjoys joining matches and sitting in the spawn until the end instead of playing or contributing at all. |

I've had this on a few occasions already. For all I know there isn't any penalty (yet ?) except that after a few announcements it will simply eject you from the game.
Imo they should expend this message to people camping in the MCC, which has become more and more often the case. The new 'time-based' ingame SP points have made a few mercs pee-in-their-paints or something They are so kitten they won't even leave the barge no more. I've seen this a few times already.. MCC-camping for the entire duration of the game. These mercs should either be ejected from the game or we ('team/squad') should be able to vote them out. They are taking up a place for someone who IS willing to win the match. |
