The vigor and endurance skills add to your stamina max/recovery. As it stands Lv 2 and 4 are quite SP expensive and you get nothing to show for it. Not to mention, scouts could definitely use it.
Plus wouldn't it be bad ass to be able to run up to (i think) 11.51 M/S... That is about 26MPH/41KMH :D
Ultimately, I think it'd be spot on to be able to build a scout that can haul ass at a clip a little over 35MPH. Cheetah suit anyone? |

Sounds good since the poor scout suits really need a defining role and going faster helps. |

I used to do this in older builds. 10.36 m/s is fastest with speed mods I could go. Seems fine to me at that.
If it were to start going higher idk how well balanced speed tankings it would be. |

Isn't there a scout suit with 3 low slots? I was thinking 2-3 proto KinCats on top of a proposed 25% (maxed out mobility) with a 7.8 sprint suit. Actually, it would also be nice to see less defended suits with a higher speed even. I'm thinking making the skinweave scout worth a squirt.
Part of what would make it work in a balanced manner is to put in accurate animation/physics to the running.. so you could bee line like a mofo, but you'd slow down turning.. hehe.. imagine drifting turns in your scout suit. ok no drifting. but you get the idea I'm sure. But as an aside- it would give an advantage of being a small fast target. big whoop.. you only need to take one hit, two if you're lucky before you go down as a scout. the balance would be more towards giving the scout an edge (speed) for lack of defenses they currently hardly have. |

It's pretty well balanced as it is. Once you reach advanced you rarely worry about running low on stamina. |

It's not about running out of stamina- it's about achieving a higher top speed/acceleration. |

The type II heavy suit can sprint at 5.5 meters per second and it only has one low slot. That means 6.16 with just the complex sprint mod.
With level 5 mobility that's an additional 25% on top of the 12% from the damage mod...which lets the heavy run at 7.5, that's quite a bit faster than an assault suit. Just imagine an assault with 500+ shields and armor...with an HMG.
Of course not many people are willing to spend a ton of skill points to do this...so let's say they only go to level 3 mobility. At that speed, the heavy is running about as fast as a logi.
I do agree that we should get some upgrade for getting higher levels, but 5% is way too much. 2-3% would be better.
Edit: Just imagine a B series heavy (they have two low slots) with two complex sprint mods. He would be running as fast as a freaking scout with a 25% bonus (8.2m/s). |

hahaha.. good point. hmm.. maybe specialized Kin-Cats only useable by scout suits.. much like covert ops cloaks can only be used by covert ops/strategics.

This isn't that kind of game. They don't want people dodging bullets. They've reduced strafe speed in the past because gunplay was too movement-dependent. There is no need for scout suits to move faster than they do, and overall upping movement speeds is taking Dust in the wrong direction from what CCP has been aiming so far. |

woah buddy. I respect your opinion, but it's kinda weird to proclaim as though you speak for CCPs direction, because as far as I can tell, they keep tight wraps on their plans and reveal updates at their own pace- albeit quite a rapid and impressive pace.
i agree with you to an extent. I'm not talking about a frozone type of speed skating across the desert. My opinion is such that scout suits being able to be skilled up to run about 35MPH woudl be about right. Which, btw, is not fast enough to run any bullet. If you mean dodging by zigzagging, well yea. that's what anyone would do. The LAVs move far faster than 35 mph in the game and yet people manage to obliterate them at a regular clip. so your counter opinion falls apart on gunplay issues.
