Hey bunnies!
As you know, tomorrow is open beta and I will be doing a charity 24 hour marathon for Child's Play a charity that goes to sick and terminal children in hospital all over the world and gives them a bit of joy through the magic of video games.
As part of an event to raise money, CCP has been kind enough to donate 3 merc pack codes for the cause, and so i thought the best way to put them to use would be a tournament.
Here are the terms:
- Entrance to the tournament Closes at downtime tomorrow (11:00 GMT)
- On each team, there must be at least one person who can stream the video as this will be a charity event as part of the dust for kids. This person oesnt need to be in the corp but must email me at [email protected] to provide the stream embed code. it can be with twitch.tv or whatever is preferred.
- The CEO of the winning team shall receive 2 merc pack codes with the runner up corp winning 1. It will be up to the CEO about who gets the prizes.
- The details of who is facing who will be announced here in the forums and on the charity event website with all the streams @ www.betamax.co/dustforkids during the day, going to the front www.betamax.co site will redirect to the charity page.
- The team members do not have to be all from the same corp.
- Register either here on this forum thread or email [email protected] with your corp, and the name of the person that will be streaming for your team.

Hope you're able to pull it off but it honestly seems silly to try and sort all of that out and expect enough support in 24hrs. Should have just handed out the packs to the top three donators tbh. Good luck though. |

should of mentioned this alot earlier
cant expect to get a tournament up and running in 1 day.
These open beta tournaments should of been announced as soon as open beta date was mentioned if ppl wanted to do it directly on open beta day.
Other than that id say give ppl more time and properly set it up so u can get more participants (to both Noc and Jenza)
Imo any open beta tourney shouldnt take place on the 22nd....earliest should be end of month so u have time to spread the word, get support and make sure u have enough confirmed teams participating. |

i only got the prizes this morning, so it was quite a last moment thing, if we dont get enough submissions we may just try and organise it for another day |

I know members of our corp will be streaming and I like the idea of the tournament, but I have to agree it's very short notice. |
