So, i guess you guys all saw that today's DT will be extended in order to fix the grenade fuse time (yay !) Use this threads to give feedback, ask questions to dev, and answer people's general inquiries on the matter.
What i wonder is if this grenade fix will bring back Codex cooking mechanism. Indeed, if fuse time is longer, we'll need to be able to cook the nade in order to shorten the fuse time. Some people can say that the fix will be of no interest then but the major difference is that suicide\panic nades wont exist anymore while still allowing people to prep an insta blow nade through battle awareness and skill.
So, if a dev can give more details about todays fix, it will be much welcome. |

The old grenades had a shorter fuse time that made them go off in the air when you cooked them.
The grenades now have a longer timer for cooking and a timer for when they land on the ground meaning that if the grenade lands on the ground and you didn't cook it, it will still explode sooner than later (which is why players are spamming them now)
The new grenades should have a longer timer if you don't cook them. at least I'm pretty sure that's what the hotfix will cover but I guess we'll find out in a little while. This will give players more time to react to the grenades that are just thrown out at the last second, but it still lets players cook the grenades to be more strategic (which is most likely how ccp wants grenades to function) |

I hope they simply go back to codex grenade, just keeping chromosome launch trajectory. Or maybe making it a bit more natural as it feels a bit straightforward. |
