Suppose, hypothetically, you had all the BPOs (stuff you never run out of once bought) in the aurum store. What would you spend your ISK on?
Does the aurum store have gaps for things that you can only buy on the ISK market?
Does the ISK market have better stuff than what's on offer in the aurum store?
(I'm new here - I apologise for these questions) |

The AUR items on the market split up into 2 classes. The first offers about 90% of all militia gear, suits, weapons etc. as BPOs. As you said, these never run out and cost you no ISK when you die. There is one addition to this class in the form of Type I assault, scout and logi suits offered as BPOs. The second class are single use items and not BPOs. You buy these in quantity and use them up just as you would use up ISK items. These come in all flavours and offer altenatives to pretty much all gear types up to and including prototype level. The difference is that these usually require less skills for a higher class weapon or alternatively less CPU/PG for the same class you're skilled to use.
As for your BPO question, I own all the militia BPOs and run around in a Type I Raven assault suit (BPO too). For now this is enough for me but in the future I will have no choice but to move on to ISK fits as my BPO gear will be too low a class for my use. |

I would skip the Raven and go straight for the type II, 12,000 is alot of AUR, when ISK is not hard to comebye on the start of a build....IMO |

I'm inclined to think you are correct. It's good to see that DUST isn't pay-to-win, it's pay-to-progess a little bit faster.
To this end, I think implants are better value than everything else (dropsuits, weapons etc).
However, I've only played for a day. |

This is exactly what I see this to be also.

ISK seems to be able to buy more than just our equipment...
Have you seen the bounty on Exmaple Core in the general discussion forum? It would appear that our lives and positions on the leadboards also have an ISK value. |

For logistics, I found the type II suit to be of less value than the type I. It only has 2 equipment slots instead of 3. I'm going to go from type I BPO to whatever is after type II (type III or class A or whatever)

As soon as CCP remembers to buff up the differences between militia/Std/Adv/Proto weapons and suits, I will definitely spend more of my ISK on the better gear. |
