I'm not sure that you mean exactly what I think you mean, but here goes.
Two possibilities:
1) A new way to passive SP ..probably not new at all really.
2) Spy |

I have to say this is probably the only farming I will participate in. If I don't want to play but I still want my daily sp why not just sit in the MCC and go off to do something else. |

because you will let your team down. basically, you are leeching SP from the rest of the team. if you become know as a player who hurts their team instead of helping, you'll be less likely to get into a good corp or have people send invites when you are looking for a squad.
--edit-- i know you are already in the Imperfects. if i was in your shoes, i'd be worried about giving your corp a bad name. lead by example. |

They are only pub matches which are pretty meaningless, the only time winning or loosing will actually matter is in corp battles. And lol at the notion that that will be what causes our corp to have a bad name |

this thread is in the training ground, so your advice will be read by people without a corporation yet. for them, pub matches are not meaningless.
if you were in a game and the rest of your team was SP farming in the MCC then you wouldn't like it. if you were new and you saw members from "CorpA" kicking butt on the enemy side and a member from "CorpA" on your team just sitting in the MCC, then you'd think "CorpA" was trying to screw your team over. pub matches are the public face of your Corp.
...you asked "why not" and that's my opinion :) |

Then by all means they can hate if they'd like. Blueberries have consistently let me down so if I don't feel like playing the match and carrying them then I will just sit and guard the MCC to earn my sp at the very least. The only good reason to stop is if it wasn't beneficial to me, but too bad it is. |

I'd say that everyone needs to sit on up in their MCC's and farm. For one, it will show that the AFK SP farming needs to be fixed and two, if the letters don't cap then it will take a hella long time for either MCC to be destroyed, earning everyone a ton of SP.
Currently, the majority of the SP is given to "time spent in battle" and a little extra is given for WP achieved during battle. This should be the other way around.
Don't blame the exploiters, this is New Eden, anything goes.
BTW, I also farm when I am too busy doing things that need to get done. Logging on everyday to reach max SP is a chore and I treat it as such. Pub matches don't mean anything, so relax and have a homebrew. |

If someone stays in the MCC for too long, they should move to the yellow team, and automatically respawn after someone kills them. Leaving the red zone would fix this. |
