Went through two that I already had. Got a third one, still no joy. Great. Just Kitten Great.
Found out my router was not on the UPS like I thought it was and it had gotten a power hit. Got all that straightened after realizing I haven't touched any of that in a couple of years. Little blinky lights in the game says things are working and a squad mate answers that, "Yeah, I can hear you". Then soon after I finally connected with a Heavy that I had been wanting to squad up with. Life is good.
Today, I found two players with mics. Two. SP is capped and there were 2. More than one and less than three. Not even enough to make a squad. I never heard their voices. Maybe they are at the stage I was a month ago.
What is it with the kids these days? |

I know I've had some mic issues.
Plus it took me awhile to realize I had to Activate Voice every battle.  |

I usually stay in corp or squad chat. The game removes you from team every time you join, so you have to rejoin it and then rejoin whatever channel you were in before. It's not that hard, but it is additional work. I also don't listen to cows. I eat them. 
I like your tanker tho. Whose alt is he? Name change? Others in corp have not known :p
edit: if you'd like people to team chat, put 'team chat' in the team chat. As you pointed out, almost no one in team chat even has mike sound even enabled. |

My friend and I have tried in vain to get it working. We just talk on the phone- which sucks because we'd love to work with a larger squad, but it just will. not. work.
And then WTF is this universal voice transmitter crapola? We even bought one for 50AUR and the voice still didn't work! super waste. I won't bother saying anything to CCP unless they don't reset everyone's AUR at launch.
but voice comms would have to be one of their priorities or this game won't make it.

Have you turned it on in the systems menu? Turn off push to talk while your at it.
@ Mollerz: Universal Voice Transmitters (UVT) are used for corp and chat channel. You can talk in squad and team without them. |
