That happens in every game anyway. There are always self-important people calling down others, and it goes both ways.
Technically, we have Skinweave suits and such, but I don't know if that is/will-be limited. I would actually like to see some sort of implementation of this as a feature myself. Either a special set of Beta Gear that is unlimited, (best), and identifies you in some fashiopn as a Beta player, or ..nah, that really is the only best option aside from a forum tag, which could also accompany it.
I'm thinking red and white, (maybe just for Caldari Assault), and an option of which set you want from Logi, Assault, Scout, and Heavy. Only four variations, because--really--that is all we had access to in Beta and it tends to be more meaningful that way. Granted...hmm..(Thinking Mordus)..we could have access to modules and such that we've not seen yet, that are appropriate to complement it.
I'm still running on the assumption that we'll see one of each type of dropsuit for each faction before release.
Obviously, I don't think that these limited BPOs for gear should be any better than perhaps the first level after militia gear, and maybe only available to closed beta testers. Mordus Private trials might have this, and those following, maybe something different.
Just a thought/idea really.
edit: *Don't think of it as elitism, but rather as recognition. I got into the Mordus Private trials in very early beta and have playtested off and on since then, even though a lot less than some others. That counts for something, and particularly so for those who really put time into it, even if it was greatly for their own enjoyment.
This sort of thing is necessary, and someone has to do it. It is a privilege in some ways, but it can also be very frustrating at times, and there is an expectation of feedback to some degree. Without that, the game is developed with limited testing and released potentially unfinished and full of flaws. |
