i had an idea about a weapon for assault and logistics players, my idea would be called the Flechette/Wasp rifle, a gun for people with weaponry 5, assault rifle 5, and perhaps dropsuits level 5. as a T2 rifle, it does normal damage to shields, but every round does (5% bullet dam) additional damage to armor underneath, when the shields are depleted, it does 105% bullet damage (flechette rifle skill does additional 3-4% bullet dam per level, to max 15-25% bullet dam to armor underneath, once shields are down bullets do 125% dam)

It would quickly be overused. A weapon that bith damages shields and armor at the same time? Theoretically on a hard enough shield tank you could effectively kill him by ignoring his shields.
Neat idea but unfortunately broken mechanics. |

Indeed. I'd rather see what they have to offer this new build and then see what new things we could try out. |

Also they don't need to add a weapon that does dmg to armor through shields, they need to make that a passive thing like in Eve, where unless your (for sake of argument) shield control was leveled to lvl 5, you would have a chance to take dmg through your shields, starting at 25% shield capacity, you would have a 25% chance of taking dmg through your shields with no lvl's spent into shield control. lvl 1 shield control would reduce the chance of dmg to 20%. and lvl 2 would reduce it to 15% and continuing on to lvl 5 where you would no longer take armor dmg through your shields ever. |

no, mechanics wouldn't be broken, as it is an upper tier weapon, and armor is "actual" health. also, a slightly decreased dpr would make it balanced. furthermore, with 25%dpr on armor (which would be level 5) still means that a round that does 60 dam to shields does only 15 to armor |
