had an idea for stealth rather than sniper recon's, as a sidearm, a tracker pistol that allows autolocking for all missile systems, including locks from vehicle and dropship small missile launchers. btw, as a sidearm, the recon would have to equip something other than a sniper rifle to hope for survival, and the homing beacon may have to be destroyable/an activity timer to keep it fair

 like it, hate it?

I like it. Could be incorporated into team/squad Tac-Net to actively show enemy position.

update, it would have to be implemented with the Spec ops skill, a skill trainable only after reaching recon suits 5, or some electronics level 5, as in T2 gear

Just to be clear, there no such thing as a "sniper" or ''recon" in this game. There are scout dropsuits, but the only difference they have from a dropsuit like the Assault are mainly that:

  It has lower profile signature.
 Its faster.
  It has less PG/CPU.
It has less shields and armor.
 It's type 2's don't have a side arm slot.

Any can dropsuit can use a sniper rifle. Just because you are a scout doesn't mean that you are a sniper; you can use a mass driver, shotgun, laser rifle, and an assault rifle. Some might argue that the best dropsuit to use for sniping is anything other than a scout.

Your idea for a tracker pistol is great. It'll add to this team-based game by enhancing the use of missiles from vehicles against other vehicles from the use teamwork.
