I'm not running a search because I feel like the more this is brought up....the more attention this needs to be paid.
Grenades do what they do....they explode. And I'm not asking for a splash radius or damage nerf. But the nade spamming is out of control. Never in any shooter have grenades been so decisive in 1v1 matches. Players aren't even trying to shoot anymore...but whatever you guys already know this.
In every shooter that I've played there was some sort of explosive resistance perc. Now, we don't need to recreate other games for dust but this is something that they've got right. Add it as a passive skill to train or a module but it NEEDS to be implemented in game. This is a skill that you can add that will add more time on to your max skill acquisition schedule of 7 years. There is no logical opposition to this idea...this needs to happen.
Thank you |

agree with the idea, but not that grenade spamming is out of control. personally, i've seen grenade bouncing on all games that made it worth it, i only say that some kind of nade cooking needs to be done before throwing. |

Grenade spamming is totally out of control. I've never seen a shooter where guys automatically chuck grenades while they're getting fired at |

Sometimes when I get a bad spawn or when I'm pitted against several people and decide to pull a 'you're coming with me' stunt, I'll chuck that nade like a panic kind of thing. However, most of the time I use it to clear corners and thin crowds to gain the tactical advantage.
So, as a proposal, why don't suits get an explosive resistance that can be modified by explosive resist skills? For example, shield suits would get a better resistance due to the EvE logic, and each level in the skill reduces damage by around 3-5%? Furthermore, base resistance can range anywhere between 5-10%. |

That soudns like a good idea...I am totally for that. That makes sense...but I do believe that they said that shields are more vulnerable to explosive weapons but protect against projectile weapons than armor. |

I'm up for armor having great resistance against splash damage. and shields sucking the splash and being very vulnerable to it.
Fixes some over-usability of grenades AND gives armor tanking a reason to exist for frontline infantry. |

You make a good point....it will definitely give some use to having a type 1 variant loadout. Because right now, they're really of no use once you unlock type II's.
I don't think that it will stop the spamming but I think guys will use them only when they have to. Like, throwing them into a crowd or something like that. But they know that they may get smoked if they throw grenades first and shoot second in a 1v1. This also works because you don't really have to nerf the grenades as well. |

Or since flux grenades remove shields, maybe locust grenades should only do damage to armor, so if shields are up they dont work or minimal if they do....just my 2 isk.. |

I'm not sure if people are spamming grenades but I would like skills for damage resistance from them. Just don't make the percentage too high. |

the grenades have a specifically small splash radius for a reason, and that's because they're meant to do that much damage, the majority of times people bounce grenades at my feet, i avoid them. moreover, i usually spend the enemies' throwing time to kill them. they are rarely being spammed, and when they are, their small splash balances out. |

No, it is a request for explosive damage resistance just like in other fps shooters. In MAG, there was an explosive damage resistance skill. In BF3, there are flak jackets, etc etc |

Would like to see a drop suit Armour hardener module that is active for 10-15 sec with 30 sec cool down timer. |

So grenades are fixed.....there's no reason for this skill now.
But let's say grenades hadn't been fixed: Let's also say that your suggestion got approved by CCP and immediately implemented.

Dude, you can say what you want....it is annoying when players come on here and act like everything is good. Some things need to be tweaked. There are also some good ideas that should be implemented.
They fixed grenades but dudes are still spamming mass drivers with 6-8 grenades in succession without a reload. An explosive resistance skill is not bad and wouldn't make you invincible. This is an addition and not a nerf request. This will add to their list of skills to keep us playing. Most shooters have explosive resistance....this isn't an absurd idea.

The mass driver does not launch grenades... if it did it would be the most broken weapon in the game. It does fire explosive rounds that are crap against shields and decent against armor. The mass driver does half the damage of the militia grenades and its splash damage and tiny radius is roughly a quarter... so no you dont NEED RIGHT NOW explosive hardeners unless i get hardeners against your AR damage type. |

Call them grenades or explosive rounds.....what difference does it make. They behave the same way.
In the help screen, it said that shields is more effective against projectile weapons than armor. But armor is more effective against explosive rounds than shields. Either way, it doesn't feel any different. Splash damage rips through my shields and armor like paper. You shouldn't be able to blast 3 explosive rounds without a reload..let alone 6.
If you want armor hardeners, then request it. It wouldn't matter to me cause if they implement them, then I'll acquire them myself and even the playing field. |

this strips precious defenses so your AR can peel them like a grape.
