"A funny thing happened this week, we got a good taste of how truly powerful Twitter can be. In our previous piece, we pondered about things that would help make Open Beta a complete success. One of the things we mentioned was to make a sincere effort to make sure gaming journalists have a good experience with Dust 514. Their positive reviews of the game could make all the difference. The force of the RETWEET is powerful it seems, and no less than four publications contacted us asking to be involved. Our 'suggestion' had taken on a life of its own...we were all: *Gulp*."

Sort of sounds like joining a chat room with some game journalists and squading up to show them the ropes and make sure they have a good time, experience a lot of what the game has to offer, maybe give some advice or share an interesting Dust story, etc. |

So Game Journalists will be squadded up with the best and brightest of Dust 514 beta? Ugh, the smell of Mtn. Dew and Doritos isn't going to pervade the War Barge is it? I could go for mowing down SOME game journalists, especially any from Kotaku. |

Nope we plan to kill any and all people especially journalist that want special treatment. I personally plan to nade spam the **** out of everyone. How about you play game like the rest of us for what it is.
Good review or Bad I would rather the game be seen for what it is. No point is trying to give a false impression of game play. A good review of a bad game won't motivate ccp to make changes. This isn't the build that should be going to open beta I would not expect noobs or journalists alike to enjoy their visit
On a scale of 1 to 10 I give zero ****s about it |

While I'm flattered you included me in your article, I do find it hard to be supportive. Don't get me wrong. I'm in favor of any initiative that makes a positive impact on Dust and its community as a whole.
However...
I struggle to find myself willing to support a website which I feel is counterproductive to the very spirit of the goal it's trying to accomplish, however good that goal may be.
To be more precise: I believe that all media should have some measure of accountability. Blog or major news site, there's no difference in the core of what media is, other than the amount of viewers. (Which is irrelevant) There has been endless streams of drama originating from Dustmercs, because no one really knows who is writing the articles in question. There is no accountability. This sense of anonymity has led to the pushing forward of many articles by unknown writer(s) that have been filled with incorrect information, NDA breaches and the like. While Dustmercs has clearly attempted to be a conflict driver in the dust community (Conflict is good) and has admittedly done just that in more than one occasion... The methods for doing so with blatantly false information just leave a sour taste.
But, I digress. Dustmercs, or "GNN" seems to be wanting to take up a similar mantle to EN24. (Eve News 24) But the main difference between the two, is accountability. Everyone knows EN24 is Riverini's baby. Everyone knows who writes which article, even if some people use an alias to post... There is a name attached to each article. There is accountability. When one article is poorly written or has information that is false, people know exactly who to talk to for corrections or who to aim their anger at. (Thus creating conflict, which is good.) When the writers are accountable, they (usually) tend to hold themselves to a higher standard of writing, taking extra care to make sure their facts are true or their propaganda is believable.
As it stands now, I personally feel that dustmercs has likely done more harm than good in the Dust community, however noble their intentions may or may not have been.
While I very much support the effort to bring news to a community and as a fellow blogger wish you the very best... As long as your current structure of anonymity and non-accountability is in place I'm afraid I cannot offer any support personally. Nor can I in good conscience promote your endeavors, and for that I apologize. Should this ever change, I would be more than happy to promote both your website, your writers, and your activities as I have had high hopes for GNN since it's inception.
