Well I know we get a new icon for the skillbook, but I thougt a small bonus upon completing a skill would be nice. First of all because it is quite expensive to buy the last level of a skill (sp wise). Secondly skills that only unlocks new gear could benefit greatly from this. The bonus should be small (5 % or lower) and maybe not only an addition to the skill.
For example: Weaponry gives 2% damage per level so the bonus upon completing could be 5 % more range for all weapons (or 5% less CPU for all weapons) instead of an additionally 2 % weapon damage.

While I understand where you're coming from, the system you're talking about would encourage all players to go for that Level V skill just for the synergies. The reason there isn't an extra bonus is because CCP wants to separate the dedicated, from the not-so-dedicated. Let's say you wanted to be logistics on the side, but didn't want to go for L V because it just took too damn many SP to be viable for you to do since it's an off-spec. You don't even enjoy it that much anyway. But your teammate, he's the Logistics Specialist. He's the guy who spent the hours and hours grinding the SP for that level V. He's got the edge, and he's the go to man.
In short, it would sort of ruin a naturally occurring game mechanic if there were MORE incentive to train up to L V |

You have a valid point here, but I dont't thin this is a big problem for most skills. to get this small incentive you would still have to level al the previous level thats a lot of skillpoints for a 2 or 5 % bonus. Of course the bonus/incentive should be related to the skil in some way as another way to prevent to level up just for the synergy. But + 1 for the overall contructive feedback |
