So lets say we have a Dust corp, call it corp A, who is attacking a district on an 0.0 planet for an alliance.
But then, Crop B is sen't out to defend this place, but whoops, corp A and corp B live on opposite sides of the planet.
So this means that whoever wins is the one who has the better connection.

Wouldn't this be a problem when Dust will take place in 0.0 battles?
Where a team from a remote place defend an area and the team from the opposite side of the Earth can't attack it because of lag?

My thoughts exactly. Australian vs US vs Europe servers are the weakest link in the equation.

I'm wondering what crop you'd send. Corn seems pretty dangerous.

valid point. Does anyone have more information on about the technical stuff, I believe TQ in located in England, are their other sister servers or something? IS their lag in EVE. (i am awful with IT).

Sidenote, it may help to have corps that are multinational/multi-timezone

EVE takes one input per second, where Dust needs at minimum 30 per second.
That's like 30 times the stress on the server.

It could get very hairy. Best advice is for any players in Asia area generally to please let us Yanks sleep and we won't have to suffer the lag.

ISP connection speeds are a factor. Some parts of the world offer amazing internet connection speeds for next to nothing. Some players in other parts of the world will have to suffer with terrible connections and will fun into problems playing against almost anyone.

I do not know how this will be solved, or even addressed, but for null sec it might be nice to have districts on a planet evenly distributed battle cluster wise, amongst the different regions, so that no one region will have the over all advantage.

And maybe a message when you arrive to fight in a district if it is a bad one for your particular placation, connection speed.

"Your tacnet connection is rated -7 for this district. Please expect to experience technical difficulties."

After all, mercs only ever see the battle field through a mess of technology, so you could cook up some lore to account for what is an insoluble problem with online multiplayer. At least until our ISPs upgrade from wire, fibre, and satellite to quantum entanglement something or other...

Another question: if Corp A requests orbital support (let's say they want a laser strike, and an EMP strike wouldn't help them), can cropcorp B accept it before Corp A does and send down a useless (for the situation) EMP strike?
