ANY squad member who gains WP contributes to getting a strike. Strikes are earned from total squad war points, it doesn't make sense that only the guy who happens to be squad leader should get all the reward; for all you know, the squad leader might not have contributed anything, yet he still gets rewarded.
I say yes.

Otherwise, no.
I think rewards should be proportional for contribution for everything, but it currently doesn't work that way. You can do 99% of the damage to an enemy, and a teammate adds the finishing blow and he gets most of the points. It doesn't make sense to ask for proportional rewards for one thing and not for another. |

I have seen some squad members just do the minium of just camping one site... and they were not snipers. Squads you work together and watch each other backs.. been in many that didn't happen. Had few wait till I got enemy low enough and shot to get the kill points, and few stand around and wait till I die and kill the enemy and then start hacking to get the full points.
That isn't the point. The fact that it can be achieved without the contribution of others does not negate the fact that its the product of everyone's contribution. Imagine it like a school project. You have 4 people working on a project, but you only need 2. The fact that you didn't need those others does not negate the fact that their input counted towards the final product, and thus it would be unfair if they just received a zero. What if you and your friend do all the work, and get the WP, while your squad leader does literally nothing the entire battle until he sees the notification that a strike is available. He calls the strike, and gets all the reward, does that seem fair? Why is it ok for squad leaders to get reward when no one else does, especially since its possible that he didn't contributed at all? Don't you think you and your friend at least deserve an assist for doing all that work? |
