Almost every step I take I get caught on some invisible barrier . Sometimes my bullets won't even register hits if an enemy is too close to a cru, supply depot, or objective. I feel like we are moving through molasses with a bunch of invisible barriers to snag your foot on |

Yes, it's still not up to scratch at all.
The frame-rate is woeful too. |

I don't recall noticing any invisible walls recently, but things like small elevations on the ground, that kind of stuff is problematic and annoying. |

Tripping over pipes multiple times before realizing what is snagging you up is really annoying, though I can only say it has happened once. More, I've caught a building edge and gotten hung up by that, or bounced a grenade off a stair or other obscene object that was in the way of that throw.
Unless I was a complete clutz, these things wouldn't happen with such regularity in real life. It gets so you have to realize the only way to effectively complete an action is to put yourself in the line of fire before making it.
I'm not saying I want to be able to throw through structures, (Heavies shooting through 3 feet of concrete or a steel container and killing you is already a problem), or walk through walls, but suiciding with a grenade or Mass driver because of them kind of bites, as does snagging them when you are trying to get out of the line of fire.
Hardest environment mesh I have ever encountered in a game, barring the exception bracketed above, and I rather like that. Unfortunately, our characters are not nearly as agile or deft at movement as your average person. Perhaps they could be?
Maybe after some time. I know it is possible, but I'm certain it isn't something easily done overnight, or even in a week or a few months. Basic principle is to create a intuitive response mechanism that uses animations to avoid obstructions. (i.e: walk into an overhead pipe and the game detects the position of the obstruction and ducks to go under it; walks backwards into a wall edge or protrusion and move sideways to go around it.)
Not impossible I'm sure. I don't think there is a game out there that does it at that level though. |
