This will be my last post regarding this issue. It is a long post, and i DO, apologize. Since dust pre-release build, i've been having this very same problem.
Dust plays great, only one round, maybe. After a round (and build 0.7 more often upon initial battle search) the game will display a message saying "No battles available." if i attempt another battle search i receive a message saying "You cannot join another battle because you are not the squad leader. Please leave the squad to join a new battle." The later message will display INDEPENDENTLY of any three conditions: 1) Having visual confirmation of actually being IN a squad. 2)IN SQUAD - Being squad leader or not. 3)Having either played a battle previously, or upon log in. When attempting to leave said squad, i recieve a message saying "Squad could not be found." Wash, rinse, repeat.
To attempt resolving this issue, i have read on the forums to many possible solutions: 1) turn off anti-virus 2) disable the firewall(s) 3) delete and re-install DUST514 4) Delete DUST514 save data. 5) power-cycle router/modem 6) forward the ports (can not do, read further) 7) wait till next build. NONE HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL
My current setup is as follows: 1)mid-release fat ps3, w/2usb ports, 320gb hdd. 2)Belkin Router a) PS3 is placed outside the NAT firewall. b) can NOT use ports 80 or 9000 to forward, being used for other priorities. c) PS3 has bandwidth priority 3)Comcast 12Mbps connection. a) PS3 is using a WIRED connection b) PS3 self tested at 5.3Mbps Download, 1.2Mbps Upload
The last attempt, i deleted all traces of DUST514 from my PS3 (save files from all accounts, game data, everything), shut it down, TURNED IT OFF (power switch in back), reloaded, re-downloaded, re-installed, entered into game, first search = no battles avail / stuck in squad!!!
This happens so often i cannot play the game. The following is a list of things i have attempted to do (over passed 6+ months) that result in this issue occurring: 1) check ANYTHING on Neocom 2) create a squad 3) join a squad 4) search for battle 5) use the Playstation MOVE controller 6) Buy a skill 7) Use a skillbook 8) upgrade a skill 9) buy something from market 10) make a new fitting (dropsuit or vehicle) 11) restock a fitting (in battle or MQ) 12) leave a battle 13) win or lose a battle 14) with or without passive sp 15) going afk for a cigarette (so about 5 minutes) 16) using playstation OEM controllers or Aftermarket Controllers 17) Cancelling a battle search, or battle deployment
As you can tell, this is a major issue for me. I NEED my router for communicating to my business via my computer, so port forwarding, or a direct connection to the modem is simply out of the question. I've posted this issue plenty of times passed, never to receive any info about this. I only hope CCP dev's read this and seriously look into the issue. Until then, I won't continue to ask, and ask, and ask about the same old problem.
I do realize this is only a beta, but going from a rough, closed-beta on a dedicated server, to a rough-closed beta on singularity, and now onto eve servers, and all this time, i can count the number of "good" days i've had on the game, on ONE HAND!? (NO JOKING) No other FPS has ever hooked me like DUST had (i don't even play FPS'). I only hope i will be able to play more than one match without having to restart my PS3 in hopes that i can maybe join another match. Thank you for your time, and i'll (hopefully) be back upon next build. |
