So after having a daily cap which is reached within a reasonable time I have been using my Alternate a lot more and have come to realize a few things. I have my 30 Day booster on my Main character, and no boosters on my alt. I hit the cap in roughly the same amount of time with both of these characters. So maybe the 30 Day Booster should be renamed To 30 Day SP Cap Extension, and the multiplier removed. Now I know exactly what I'm getting with my Booster, and not having a SP multiplier allows me to play for a longer period before I hit my SP Cap allowing me to play my main character longer.

...what? You want to gain SP slower but maintain a higher cap? You realize you don't HAVE to stop playing once you reach the daily cap right? |

So you want the cap to remain the same, just for it to take longer to hit the cap by removing the multiplier? That is a pretty weird request. |

OP's suggestion is... interesting... but I think you sum it up nicely Dravon. I do not like the idea OP suggests, but good for him thinking outside the box. |

Hence the Alternate character. I like watching my character gain SP, it makes me feel like my character is growing. Instant gratification. Would you play any other FPS if your XP was shut off after playing for 2 hours? Let's try to stop criticizing each other and make this one a little helpful. Please stay on topic. |

I understand what you're getting at, but honestly I can't really support getting less for what I paid for simply because the SP gain will last longer. Besides they're currently reworking SP gain and caps for the next patch. |

Skilling in New Eden is not the same as leveling up. And other games do have caps - you can go to level 30 or 40 or whatever, then you're done. Here, you can go YEARS with one character and keep going.
Also, it's not just about the SP - the SP are a means to an end only, not the goal. The journey is impacting a planet, taking it over, or just plain having fun. I don't need to see a number to enjoy what I'm doing - but that's just me. To each their own. Again, good job with coming up with a novel idea, it's just something I don't agree with as a concept. |
