There should be a better mechanic for tracking ISK in Dust. Currently we only know how much ISK we have on our account, and everything else is left for the player. A better mechanic is warranted - a mercenary is out there for thrills and money, after all!
In addition to ISK held, the mechanic should take into account net worth of assets and liabilities. The system could easily calculate that based on current market value of goods plus ISK on a character. This could be tracked on cumulative basis. Cumulative Net Worth (CNW) would therefore show how much ISK and gear the character has earned, bought and salvaged during her lifetime, plus net of all assets and liabilities currently held.
The benefit of this system is that after each match you would immediately know if you were profitable - the system could report the net of contract bonus you earned, dropsuits and weapons you lost, and the salvage you found. You can also track your progress over days or weeks, and to see which types of loadouts bring best bang-for-ISK given proper data drill-down tools. Transfer of ISK and goods to/from other characters and between EVE could be excluded to calculate "raw" CNW (rCNW)- perhaps as an alternative measurement.
So to enable us to better manage our funds, CCP should report each players Net Worth (NW) on any given moment, their CNW, and perhaps rCNW. |

Long as it shows how much the other team lost in ISK value, I'm happy with the idea. |

Heh, good point. Leaderboard after each game could include ISK lost/destroyed by player for further ranking and e-peen measurement opportunities.
I saw there's a plan to include EVE-type killmails in Dust; those could also include the value of goods destroyed. |

yeah i was kinda thinking about this yesterday you may not have that good a K/D or the number of war points but you may have been using cheap militia gear to take out advanced stuff or vehicles and you may have vastly won the isk war but it never shows in the results screen |
