I think they should allow sp in Faction Warfare and make it capped higher so that it will promote people to play it.
After all, that is the reason for combining Eve and Dust together, Faction Warfare.
For the amount of time it takes to actually get into a FW, I do not see how this could be manipulated. |

There this one time at band camp, CEOs will set up a corporation matches, the opposing players will use free militia suits for sacrifices.

I ment to put higher skill cap, but regardless, that would be a form of manipulation indeed what you speak of,but at the same time, it seems perhaps if mulitiple corps wanted the contract it should go to a bidding war,and not just a one click acceptance. |

I rather get Loyalty Points, Loyalty Point store where players can spend LP aquiring Army Gear (better than proto not as good as officer) better interation of FW system, better interface, clearer impact of your efforts, Vote for next planet to attack, reputation Gains and Losses, NPC challenger system (Ie npcs make contracts defenders don't show up they forefit) Removal of the Ante system, (move that to a new challenge system)
To top things off a hybrid certificate system that uses skill level training and active use of modules/weapons to reward players with additional amounts of SP/isk and help train them further as well as have new grind goals. |

@ OP no to SP in corp battles and **** no to making it uncapped because nothing stoppin ppl from making alt corps and farming SP. ppl need to stop thinking about SP SP SP all the time as a reason to play the game needs other things to play for other than just character progression jeez |

No. When it comes to faction warfare, skill point gains mean nothing. Loyalty Points, ISK rewards, and territory become the dominant currencies. SP gains have no place in faction warfare. |

I edited it due to not actually meaning uncapped, but it did slip.
You hit it on the dotted line.....sp sp sp, this is what alot of people worry about, it is in front of everyones eyes to see, and a simple solution to people not getting invonved in FW is to allow SP. At this juncture, what elese would motivate people to get involved? As it is half the people logg in for 1 hr to collect their daily, and addios.
I am not speaking strictly on my behalf as if it is something I want, yet perhaps something that can be used to lure more players to FW. |

And when this is incorporated it will be a day to rejoice, and is highly anticipated indeed. |

If faction warfare had some juicy UI, a few videos, but mainly some really good graphical maps showing territory gains and losses that would help a lot. Even a screen you go to where an agent of the faction you want to fight for offers a contract. Something you could skip once it got boring. But the warbarge lounge in playstation home offers a much more compelling intro to the EVE universe than anything actually in the Beta.
Right now our interaction with faction warfare is so barebones as to be almost metaphysical. It must be made much more tangible.
But what are these loyalty points your speak of? We are mercenaries for hire... Is there some sort of mercenary equivalent that we could work for that would give us something good, no matter which side we fought for?
But it would be a very good thing i we had another, uncapped marker of progress to work for in faction warfare.
I also think we should get some sp for mercenary battles, something between instant battle and the corporate matches in FW. |

So FW in EvE already has a system similar to this in place? |

I agree with you. If the eve players that have not seen the length our end goes to at times for a FW and how bland it is indeed, only fighting for the honor of the corp, which i do not mind, than perhaps notice would be taken as to why it is not a popular thing, FW that is. |

How about actual territorial conquest within FW??? not some half assed gambling system ccp implemented let us control districts/planets in FW and let it show up dust side so ppl can see which corps control what districts and if they control entire planets
these things will motivate the REAL corps to get involved in FW not SP ppl that want to play this game solely for SP have no place in FW or nullsec |

i support that post. Also there needs to be something added that gives Dust corp the feeling they're not fully funding the fight.
Amarr sets contract. corp A pays, corp B pays. Corp B wins, Corp B takes its money and Corp A's money. End. So where the hell is the Amarr reward. And dont suggest LP, if i fight i want freakin money from the employer.
What couldnt be exploited is a simple refund of equipment lost in battle by the faction when you win the fight (except for rare stuff maybe). |

thats why u set contracts to cover the cost the thing is ppl afraid to set big contracts because they afraid if they lose say 10-25M on a single match thats not only that 25M gone but also the ISK for the gear they lost, however if u win u get 25M ISK which can cover costs + some reward left over for ur corp........its called risk/reward sadly almost everyone wants a reward but dont wanna risk anything hence u find these bogus 100K contracts being put up 3 months into a build
Territorial conquest and LP/Faction Gear is what FW needs this game needs no handholding past hisec so if u want compensation set ur collateral to a value u think is proportionate to the gear u plan to bring in that way if u lose a bunch of it and win u can use some of the reward to reimburse. |

Nope
Corps will form dummy corps and just farm SP anyways and boost KDR/WLR
What would be better would be LP like you get in FW up in EVE anyways, problem is they will prob create dummy corps and farm LP to get the faction stuff anyways and ther would be no way to stop it and prob boost KDR/WLR while they are at it
Really swapping 1 set of points for another but the same thing will happen |
