I play mostly as a sniper, so I'm always moving around the hills and rooftops and up and down a lot. In my exploring, I've found a lot of issues with movement:
1. There are narrow crevasses where I can get stuck. I can't jump or move, and trying to aim my sniper rifle gives massive amounts of wobble. It also plays some sort of air-wooshing sound, as if the game thinks I'm falling endlessly. Only solution to get out of this is to grenade myself or get shot.
2. Trying to snipe on various hills and rock outcroppings can cause my guy to bounce up and down repeatedly. Sometimes it will spit me out of the geometry a few feet away like I stepped on a trampoline.
3. Invariably, whenever I crouch and #2 happens, I get un-crouched. Sometimes crouching causes #2 to happen.
4. Sometimes just moving around while crouched near the edge of a building's top that has non-flat edges will bounce me up out of my crouch. Flat surfaces don't cause this, only ones with visible z-axis changes. Even moving around barriers with dirt piled up at their edges, or moving in and out of the octagonal tubes laying around everywhere can cause this with their subtle z-axis changes.
5. Despite all those wonderful ways to move and get un-crouched by the world geometry, I still can't try to sprint without manually un-crouching. Sprint should override crouch. |

Is no one else experiencing this? Or is it on a known list of issues somewhere that I haven't found yet? |

LOL - that wasn't entirely what I had intended there, but it fits. :) |

Yes, there are a number of terrain movement issues for those of us who like to climb mountains.
I commented elsewhere about the ability on the west side of the Manus Peak map to slide into the redline with no way out.
For me, the biggest issue is that I can't easily tell what I can climb and what I can't.
P.S. - Love the name, BTW. Got a spinfusor on that dropsuit? |

I love the getting stuck on invisible objects or the fact that your clone can't get up a 1 1/2 foot step to get to a ladder without running & jumping. If your in a heavy, good luck geting to many nice ambush spots. There are a few spots where the Assault HMG would be lethal, but you just can't seem to get up that fraken 12 inch step to get to the ladder!
PS- Nanu Nanu |

Mork called Orson and he said he agrees with your movement problems as well.
I wonder if this is tied into the Unreal engine and something they can't change except through world geometry. I never played Unreal. (Or Tribes for that matter, so I had to look up the spinfusor :) ) |
