Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could help me get my voice chat to work; I've looked at some other forum posts but I haven't found one which has worked. Here's what I've tried, and neither myself, nor my friend can hear each other.
Voice Chat enabled. Push to Talk OFF. PS3 audio settings all correct and proper (my mic is my input/output device and I can hear myself when I test it in the XMB). Squad created, squad channel selected with voice enabled and PTT off.
My friend gets the speech bubble icon without the cross in it, and when he talks it apparently flashes green but I don't hear him. Likewise, I have the speech bubble icon without the cross but mine doesn't flash green when I talk. Either way, neither of us hears anything!
Any ideas?
Cheers! |

I couldn't tell you exactly which of these fixed it but here is what worked for me, taken from various earlier threads about this issue:
1) Unplug the PS Eye 2) Delete DUST's Saved Data from the PS3 menu (you don't lose characters or anything, just local settings) 3) Make sure you can hear yourself speak in the PS3's Audio Settings 4) Restart the game, enable voice chat (deleting the savedata will default it to off) and disable push to talk 5) Make a squad and yell at someone |

Thanks for the reply, I don't have a PS Eye but I'll follow the other steps and give it a go! |

Usually you can just try to restart the Squad. Or get reinvited. This usually fix the problem as well. Everyone that got the same problem as you has worked right after he was reinvited after 1 or 2 times. Sometimes you need to restart the Squad. |

I have this problem occasionally with my usb headset. Sometimes switching chanels helps, sometimes unplugging the pseye helped, i also deleted a couple of old bluetooth devices from the bluetooth device list. |
