From what I understand, in EVE there is a security rating system. This allows for all players to play on the same server shard, but keeps them separated to a degree based on how they want to play the game.
What if weaponry in DUST 514 was security rated?
The simple way to implement this would be to have fittings with "illegal" weaponry unavailable when a mercenary tried to deploy into an area where their guns were banned. You would get a message like "THis fitting uses weaponry that do not meet the security rating requirements for this district. Please chose another fitting."
The more complex way to implement this would be to allow players to deploy with illegal guns. But a Concord AI drone would show up in the match and target that player. |

Illegal? Unless we dig up the 20,000 year-old plans for the "Davy Crockett" nuclear rifle, I don't think CONCORD is going to object to a Forge Gun when there's railgun-fitted HAVs driving around. Security status is likely going to affect how tight a given SP range is (vets can still fight in hisec, just with other vets), and/or the ISK and clone limits that can be dedicated to an assault on a wartagged PI installation. As for the arcane weapon, some Amarr archaeologist found an article on an ancient database, detailing its capabilites. 2.5-3mile radius nuclear bomb on a portable launcher, just as likely to irradiate the shooter as killing the enemy. |

So if we kill Concord and survive is it bannable? I've heard that's the system they have in Eve. |

Nearly, It is not actually possible to kill concord in eve, they will incapacitate your ship within seconds and their ships are nearly indestructible. On top of that, they tend to bring 15+ battleships to kill your frigate.
Surviving their wrath without losing your ship is considered an exploit though. |

1: We don't fight in High-Sec 2: In EVE we can commit whatever violence we want in low sec with sentries set up around structures USUALLY being the only things there to protect the weaklings. 3: Going back to 2 it doesn't make sense to restrict mercs in higher, low sec space when pilots are not. |

So we have giant orbital bomarders that can completely burn planets but for some reason this ltitle adapted mass driver is illegal? People dont care how you destroy each other simply that it gets done... The only illegal stubtances in EVE are from pirates and groups that cause havoc in the eve universe... thats why there illegal |

Not a comment on the OP (I'll try to provide one of those when I'm not so tired), just saying that in New Eden you can't fight the law Concord will always win always (because anything else is considered an exploit ) |
