You can't yet, unless your corp was started in Eve. |

unless you have one of the other alliance members subbing the costs, its not viable for a dust corp to join an alliance because being in an alliance cost dues |

Seriously? ... I don't know if I have the skill or the corp numbers for 10 mil a month to be worth it... Though it doesn't seem all that bad at current isk payout with bigger corps. |

... there's no dues / month that i know of!! In eve you can get sov renting, and that type of thing but have never heard of a set charge...
... saying that 10mill is about 5min work in eve... and most of that is undocking your ship :p So no one would bother mentioning it anyway lol |

Alliances pay a maintenance cost of ISK 2M per month per member corporation: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Alliance
OP: Yes: you can turn over the CEO slot to an EVE character, they can then apply to join an alliance, and then (after approval and the 24 hour waiting period) they can give the CEO slot back to a DUST character, to the best of my knowledge.
Note that DUST 514 mercs cannot see Alliance or militia chat channels. If you join an alliance, ask if they have a custom channel where your mercs can coordinate via text with other alliance mates.

It looks like this needs to be put to rest as a lot of misinformation is flying around by those unfamiliar with EVE. There is a cost for each corporation combined. It is 2m ISK per month per member corporation but this bill is presented to everyone in the alliance but it is normally so small as to not matter. I run Infinite Aggression alliance and we have 13 corporations. This means I simply pay 26m ISK a month and it's done and dusted.
DUST corporations are however NOT charged anything to be part of the alliance because you exist in a totally different way to what an EVE corporation would do so ie using alliance services, systems, towers and jump bridges. So once again, there are no 'alliance dues' you automatically have to pay. This is an EVE thing. NOT a DUST thing.
I hope that cleared it up. |
