There could be gunfights like in the EVE Future Visions trailer. QUICK, DECISIVELY FOUGHT GUNFIGHTS is what we need. Bullets aren't very powerful in this game AT ALL. 20-30 bullets average is the number required for a standard AR kill. That's absurd. Give us the realism, CCP. In the video, the bullets fired from that guy's gun looked very powerful, and he dropped 2 ppl with like 9 bullets!! That's I want to see, CCP. We need a shooting-only related update, CCP. A fix to the sensitivities, (sync keyboard sensitivity with controller sensitivity) bullet damage made to be realistic (7-10 bullets), bullet range to be realistic (200+ meters average) fixes with recoil and ye olde iron sights, and drop the number of bullets fired per burst in the burst AR to 3. Gunfights in this game are like pouring cold gravy. Slow and nasty. CCP, we need a fix to ALL the guns. Thank you. |

You think it's bad now? You should of been around when suits had more HP and were actually worth speccing into proto etc. |

Right, because that's how battles are fought in real life. Quick, decisive and stuff.
Because of all those power suits with their shielding. Man, if we didn't have those can you imagine how drawn out real life gunfights would be? Whooo thank god for the US Army Rangers Assault Suit... |

You'll see why I posted something about bullet damages and ranges. |

Firing an Exile Assault Rifle (So the basic assault rifle) that deals 31.0 Damage, I chuck Damage mods on that and can easily kill things..
Most likely you are facing latency issues, I've noticed them myself, you'll hit a target and you'll just get a blue flash but no damage. It's frustrating but it'll improve. Realism in Video Games makes the game boring, honestly. For example, I enjoy Operation Flashpoint, it's pretty realistic but get a couple of my mates to play it? they despise it and want something else.
Small note: My KDR is around 4 and it means nothing, just that I can killsteal with the best :P |

Realistic? Sorry to say that 7 to 10 bullets isn't likely to kill anyone unless you get a good lethal hit. Or you use a big caliber weapon. Most militaries are not using big caliber weapons these days. The biggest small arm weapon that is used on the average is 7.62mm. And in lots of cases that's either for sniper rifles or AKs. Most are using 5.56mm and more often then not it takes a lot of ammo to kill one person. My first deployment to Iraq they had an insurgent that had got shot 19 times. He survived to go to the hospital, get treatment and was out in a few weeks or so and on his way to court and prison. |

I did use proto damage mods but they didn't work...DUE TO THE LATENCY. I did the same exact thing, except with a Duvolle AR and 2 damage mods. THX for the latency verification bro. |

This. There are plenty of games where the entire focus of multiplayer is hide and go shoot because of your two-to-three bullet tolerance. The (still alive) multiplayer games that fight with noticeably large HP values could probably be counted on one hand (DUST, Planetside2, MAG if that is still going, TF2)... plus, as someone else said within this thread, why would you even have energy shields and a heavily armored suit if they can't block the weapons of the age?
I miss the days where it was worth skilling into better suits, where heavies weren't giant targets after the first week, where you could have almost 3k HP if you worked it right... now that the damage is the only stat that goes up, we're gonna see gunfights get exponentially faster as time wears on. Give it a week, and the Heavies will be replaced with standard tanks, and everyone will have a protogun. |

Have you been hiding under a rock? Scout dropsuits can fall from a Militia Assault Rifle with only a few seconds of firing, Assault dropsuits are more durable but still fall quickly. |
