Logis beat other classes hands down in ambush and here's why.
Logis=WP
WP > K/D
I've discovered that on Ambush, nothing is more useful then logistics. Logis have 2 equipment spots, and can earn loads of WP with them.
I used a Repair Tool and a Droplink during my ambush games and made more WP and it's almost guaranteed. The repair tool is a heavies best friend and when they're bombing an HMG that's a lot of gaurdian points right there if they need repair. If you put a droplink down somewhere smartly, a little mini base that is safer than anywhere else on the map will form. Many people will spawn there and you'll be receiving 25 WP for each spawn.
Once you get a little base of team members there, it will be very safe to deploy a vehicle if you're location was chosen rightly. That's when you bust out a good anti-infantry Heavy Attack Vehicle (HAV).
My current Militia HAV:
Soma
All Default Turrets
3 Militia Energized Platings
1 Militia CPU Enhancer
1 Crisis Damage Control Kit*
1 Supplemental Heavy Shield Extender*
*Needs Skills
This Soma is not particularly fast at first, but if you can hide it when it is wise to, you can rep it and I've been seeing more and more Noobular Kids who don't take control of the tank while your repairing it, because they know that they are noobs, so they don't want to crash it (Same thing happens on Dropships).
The Soma is pretty reliable but it's Militia and they're eventually bust out forges and swarms, but you'll bring plenty of the grunts down before that happens, so your K/D gets boosted and so does your WP.
Get out if it's not going to last any longer than 3 seconds no matter how good you shoot, bail. Sprint to safety and depending on the situation, you can make it back to rejoin your team to repair their armor, revive the fallen, replenish ammo, and/or provide droplinks.
Rinse, wash, and repeat.
Conclusion: Logis get you decent standings on Ambush matches. |
