What i mean by that is idk what team im fighting for anymore it seems likke a COD match where your jus playing to have fun it doesent seem like the skirmishhes and ambushes and all the other battles have any kind of purpose...i hope that whemn the beta is off tht there will be more of a faction vs faction type battle not just blue vs red and i hope that they give each of the players ther factions colors like a reprsent type thing so that the enemy fac knows who they got beaten by not just a red or blue team...the minmitar repuplic etc etc it think it would make the game alot more fun and intresting knowing that our battles made a difference somewhere either in eve online or on dust 514 and tha they would add bigger maps and more maps to explore make it more like planetside 2 a true free to play game is planetside 2... not lobby matches but FREE to play however iwant wherever i want and with whoever i want as long as their in my faction who else agrees with what i have to say? |

I am immortal.
I fight because I live today.
I kill because they would kill me.
I kill those that oppose me.
They die because my hand and my mind says they should.
Those that want me to fight, pay.
I fight to win.
I fight for profit.
To become better. To have better gear. To be a better killer.
Mortals don't matter to me. Only their cash.
I am immortal.

What I mean is it doesn't matter to me.
I live to fight and I fight to kill and I fight to die and I fight for profit and I fight to win.
Seriously though: Eve faction warfare is coming. CCP is cautious and slow. They have almost always been, with a few missteps but it is their way.
The maps are randomly generated. The basic outlay is identical. ABC in Manus Peak are in their same locations but the buildings and the individual layout of B and C can vary widely as does the Defender and Attacker bases. This is in preparation for faction warfare.
When an operational commander can be real (a Dust or Eve player) there will be standard maps that they can tweak. Change the buildings. Dynamically drop Supply Depots, CRU and Turrets during the battle. Each will cost ISK as will their own MCC. If you haven't played an Ambush on some of the larger maps yet they will drop those into the battle. It looks like the type and the positions are somewhat random. How much, I have no idea. It is surprising to run to some Null Cannon in a Skrimish only to discover it is on a platform this time. Or the control is under ground for C on Manus Peak.
We have a half dozen maps. There has been a consistent limiting of their use as CCP is testing the server setup and will probably add another map or change one map for another as the current version become stable, enough. There is a constant tweaking of the Red Line to vary the difficulty and broaden the defending options while limiting the attackers.
Beta testing the server requirements, the battle load outs, the lag, the map, the randomness and all that is what we are fighting for right now. After release I suspect that we will discover the connections to Eve will very gradually be opened. CCP does not want EVE to be adversely impacted by Dust nor vice verse.
Then Factional Warfare, Alliances, Ideals and long term plans for Some Specific Future will come into play. And it will be expensive.
An ongoing long term war between however many sides will entail thousands of battles, billions then trillions of ISK with the possibility of some Battle Commander getting additional operational budget to drop Turrets and Supply Depots to change the course of an individual battle.
This is seriously going to be a long form game. |
