I'm having a bit of a hard time sorting out how to do an orbital bombardment currently. As it stands the interface isn't telling me what I want to know.
Can someone lay it out?

To expand, You have to be squad leader, your squad has to rack up a certain amount of WP through killing/hacking/ repairing/reviving etc used to be 2500 all up now it's changed but once the squad has accumulated the WP needed you'll get an OS to use, note that if you die before you use it you lose it. |

If the match finishes they do not carry from one match to the next. But you do not lose them if you die in a match. You just have to re-spawn and be on the field of battle to fire it off.

Lies, I was in a match and was about to Launch an OS didn't select a target as I was waiting for the squad to herd up the enemies so I could blast them all to hell then someone snuck up on me, killed me, Respawned, looked back for OS and it was gone. |

So from what I understand:
Be SL, rack up team points, select the weapon, point at target then give launch codes to waiting podder.
????

No, there isn't an EVE player involved. Orbital strikes come from warbarges, which are imaginary space ships and a colourful way of saying they materialize out of nowhere, just like the RDVs that bring in your vehicles. The instant you set your location for an OB, the ball gets rolling and a few seconds later a strike will come down, period.
Supposedly there's some Faction Wars involvement of EVE players getting such a notification, but not for Instant Battle games. |

I would think that the OS got 'spent' once you pressed the d-pad and selected it. Otherwise you got the option to drop OS even after you die.

Lol the warbarges aren't imaginary bro , the war room that we sometimes start in before a match.......well that room is on the warbarge, and soon enough the warbarge will also be a place for social stuff too. Plus trophy rooms, mcc staging areas etc. Also, the rdv's don't materialize out of nowhere, they are cloaked to prevent attack upon delivery.
Regarding orbital bombardments, yes they are provided by the 'very much real' warbarge......in non corp battles and high sec. During corp battles orbital bombardments are provided by capsuleers providing there are ships connected to the battle, capsuleers also provide OB in null sec (not sure of low sec). |
