Apparently way too complicated, will make a new thread for simpler idea.
Damage reflect is 200% times sec status. You still do damage, but you'll kill yourself first in high-sec, especially if you are using bpo gear.
Shooting a teammate stops all repair (armor, shield, logistics, and revive) for 1 second per hit and 10 second per kill. A teamkiller will quickly become a walking deadman.
Introduce a "safety" option. Your weapon will not fire within a 5-degree cone of an ally. This is on by default, turn of and risk quickly killing yourself.
Vehicles shut down for 1 seconds per friendly hit, 10 seconds per kill. This stacks so a team-killing vehicle will quickly become useless.
Safety on will automatically brake a vehicle to non-lethal speed if it is within 25m approaching an ally. In general vehicles should take roadkill damage equal to 200% the health destroyed. Remove all bpo small shield extenders, 60mm plates, and resists.
Shooting a blue turns you into a grey dot for 30 seconds times sec status. Anyone can shoot at you during this period on top of above penalties.
Additional penalty should be 10 seconds times sec status per team kill, cumulative. A person on a blue rampage will be booted by timeout without needing a special mechanic.
This is a list of possible mechanics. All together they might be too much, but #1 thing should be if you shoot a bullet it does its damage, no matter what color you shoot at. Everything else is penalties scaled by sec status. |
