Listen Up Mercs we're about to drop heels first into a hot bed of an issue that's beginning to look like where diplomacy is failing and killing each other is the only solution. I managed to tap into the tactical net and intercepted mobilization orders from both Caldari State and Gallente Federation. While I haven't exactly decrypted the entire message other than its for calling of mercenaries to fight on Luminaire II. It would seem Luminaire II is critical for holding control of Caldari Prime.
For those of you who don't know the Caldari and Gallente civil war spawned capsuleer technology and about 200 years ago Caldari Prime was invaded by the Gallente. Vid File http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXWf-l71MY4
Well for a good 180 years it remained in Gallente hands until YC 110 (5 years ago) however tensions raised up to an unacceptable level when the Malkalin Incident happened killing thousands of Caldari citizens and diplomats. Vid File http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSHdIsIOrsc&list=PLF614A7A6461E61E1&index=24
In response Tibus Heath took advantage of Concord getting attacked by the Minmatar ordered a massive invasion fleet to recapture their home world. He does this by committing nearly 90% of the navy and millions of army soldiers and successfully re-invades Caldari Prime.
President Frotrain unable to remove the Caldari Navy Titan and was caught off guard had no choice but to sign a peace treaty handing the planet back over or risk having billions of 'hostages' on the ground killed. This would leave President Jousha Frotrain to resign eventually.
Apparently after 5 years of maltreatment, President Rhoden may have had enough of this and is sending us to help secure a nearby planet to leap frog to Caldari Prime and Tibus Heath isn't going to let the Gallente walk all over him and he wants to hire us so that it doesn't happen.
So pack up your bags we're moving out of testing and into proving grounds of war on Luminaire II very soon.
Updates:
While looking around for encryption keys able to the break orders I've stolen, I had another interception of transmissions that may relate to why we are being involved for the purpose of invading Luminaire II. There seems to be peak interest in getting rid of the Caldari Navy Titan in orbit over Caldari Prime from the Gallente side of the comms.
Corufeu (Luminaire II) has been an ancient terraformed planet but when the New Eden hole collapsed none of the original terraformers survived. It was later recolonized by the Gallente and to this day many archaeological digs still happen on the planet. It should reason that the colonist should have survived since the planet was further along than Gallente prime or Caldari prime were. Now whenever we are building a weapon there or found one is uncertain. I'll dig into it maybe the Caldari will goof up and do all the hard work for me.
Either way with the Caldari Navy Titan removed the threat to the planet's billion's of so hostages will be removed and the fleet in orbit cannot reliably inflict the amount of damage all at once and with the titan in orbit lock to the station under construction and not the planet its more possible to time the strike and catch the ship while the least amount of hostages are exposed to the planet surface.
Also Federation Milita Forces have taken the last caldari stronghold in black rise region, and are now returning home to receive awards for their efforts.
Comm chatter involving the Caldari Navy Titan in Luminaire has been boiling a near pitch fever now though. Something big and epic is about to start burning soon enough. |

In other news:
Federal Defense Force, the Gallente Federation Militia, declares victory over Black Rise Region. Their next mobilization orders are unknown but I have reasons to suspect they're not going to be in black rise in the near future and they will be deploying to Essence Region. |

Well no specific new updates today, but there is a crap tonn of chatter over the comms now regarding the mobilization....
Something is about to go down big time Soon(without tm) enough.
Aside from that eve side the gallente pilots are going to have an awards ceremony for capturing all of black rise and are going to be awarded a campaign medal for their efforts. Amazing how hard people fight for a little piece of colored cloth and cut metal. |

Been talking with other intel experts, they gave me a time table of 2 weeks of something happening most likely.
Right now news agencies in New Eden doesn't even know immortal soldier technology exists.
We do know Tibus Heath's shooter was a mercenary like ourselves, and the state cannot hide that fact forever. |

Translation: We're possibly going to do an event, where what we do and eve players do is going to alter the shape of the galaxy. Who when where and why is still not exactly clear yet but its been causing a small riot in the eve side of the role play community. |

Believe the same thing happened with the Quafe agents right? Like a month before the event we had word on pirates stealing stuff from colonies.
Quafe Agents where like... minor hiccup issue with one corp but that was an example of a live event. Normally players get to choose what they do in those but because dust 514 is a team vs team environment and not much of a sandbox didn't allow for other things too well.
The quafe agent live event was an impact 1 of 10. Repercussions are not going to be felt that much, outcome of the event did not matter.
As for what is about to happen... I rate this one the scale of 11 out of 10 on the impact level. Let me put it this way. Everything that happens after this event is a blank page because the hing point has not happened yet. Why bother generating content when unpredictable players cause something to happen unexpected?
The last time a live event of this scale happened was the assassination of the previous Emperor of Amarr Empire.
http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Doriam_II
Believe it or not a player killed the emperor and screwed up a 4 year long story arc at the time because NOBODY planned on the emperor getting assassinated.
It took the empire 5 years to get an new empress to replace him. |

While I doubt we would be boarding it I suspect that Luminaire II move will have its purpose and reasons why we'd be still deploying to that system after whatever event happens. I think Luminaire II may be the first functional Skyfire built in new eden. |
