just a suggestion to make those who get shot to slow down like in Bad Company 2 if I remember correctly, cause I'm tired of seeing people jumping up and down and running around like bunnies during gunfights
this should make the game play more tactically cause people will check round corners plus go for cover more often and not run around in circles like that game they release every year |

BattleField 3 has a similar mechanic called Suppression. It's basically a mechanic for being pinned down.
Now before people start yelling that this isn't Battlefield I would like to say that I like the idea, it makes you think twice (or should atleast) before running out on a huge field with no cover.
More intelligent fighting is good for this game I think! I like to think before I run out to get shot. ;)

Maybe the suppression only should work while damaging armor? That will give scouts some moments to run for cover.
Would also like to say that something being unfair for one side is hardly a reason not to implement it |

I don't like this idea.
It takes a certain level of skill to track and hit moving target, especially when you yourself are moving. I find that it makes fights enjoyable, and more rewarding than shooting people in something like a Battlefield game. Mobility is good, and fun.
We already got a strafe speed nerf a few builds ago, I don't want more lessening of mobility.
This would really hurt scouts. They have very low HP, and their only strength is their speed.
I don't understand people who say stuff like this is "tactical". Evasion is just as much a tactic as using cover. |

Oh no its good now, the way it was before was terrible because movement speed was over the top turning all the fights into dances, strafe speed has been nerfed twice believe it or not, iam realising the speed its self is ok now but a way to fix the twitchy ness of the game would be acceleration.
For those un familiar with movement acceleration it basicly meens that it will take you a certain amount of time to get up to speed as it is now no matter what direction you go you are going in full speed if you want to
This would add more feeling of weight to the game make us feel more like actual people not a camera with a gun,
It is also worth noteing that with the addition of acceleration over all base speed could be increased not hugely but a bit
The Jump and Runing you describe would also be reduced, but in fairness quite a few people in this beta seem to enjoy that style of play, i may not be of that group but both playstyles exist in DUST and therefore both need to be acounted for |
