Was an awesome game...went 37-5 in a brutal fight on the 3 letter map on EU server. We came in a little late and they had 2 out of 3 letters until we were able to grab one of them. But we weren't able to do enough MCC damage to catch up. So, we ended up coming back and depleted their clones with only 4 of our clones left and a couple damage bars. Game was intense with a bunch of corps on each side.
But that's NOT my point. My motivation for this thread is that guys really need to get out of MLT gear. I almost broke $1M ISK in a match because everyone was bringing out real gear. There were some Gaston HMGs, Krins, etc lost in that match. Enemy brought out more than a couple of tanks and dropships. We would have higher ISK returns if guys actually stepped up a bit.
Now, I'm not saying that we should all run duvolles every game.....I guess, my beef is with guys who just wish to stay in MLT gear and then ask for nerfs to help them compete with higher tiered players. I don't know, I'm just ranting cause we can actually earn ISK from pub matches and help support our gear. No risk, no reward
Just venting...this thread wasn't thought out...but I got it out....and I'm not going to erase it. |

True there is asset burning going on but what you state is also true. Many ppls mentality of not using their good suits because of expense and then being upset when they dont get much ISK in a match (thus saying they couldnt have afforded the more expensive suit in the game) and also being upset that they get pwned by the few ppl that are running ADV or Proto fits. Dying 5 times with a proto suit would not be so bad if other ppl were running protos and you are getting kills and points to make tons more money than you are losing. |

Yes, that's true. But I'm good, but not enough to stay alive as long as Traky for example.
And as a Logi, I don't have the right to die a lot,.
But, when I take my milicia fit to farm ISK, I'll never cry to die vs a proto suit. It's just another game. |

There used to be a noticeable difference until they made all the HP equal... Maybe once they start introducting skill bonuses for the suit like the ships have in Eve... |

Saw that one coming.
Once upon a time... a long time ago... a proto suit did have a few extra hit points.
But we (not me personally, but we the beta testers) made a great outcry of "BALANCE!!!!" and "NEWWW PLAYERSSS WILLLL CRYYYY!"
And thus, in that time, were the suits balanced. Perhaps to make the gear progression more FPSery.

Logically, the way it would work out is you start off somewhat conservative, but as you start to pull ahead in the match you would level up your gear. Then, once victory is assured or you have a great WP amount, then you would pull out the 'big guns'. |

Well isnt that how the in game money was always supposed to work the more expensive the stuff that gets destroyed the more the isk returns are. So it just goes to show that if others are running proto you should run proto too, because the payouts have a multiplier based on "Quality" of the items being destroyed. |

Observation: I get 50% more ISK in matches where I brought out my best gear compared to my stock gear.

More difference? Like the difference of 4 mod slots which allows you to tank your suit and assloads more CPU/PG that allows you to fit almost anything you want? Oh, sure, so little difference that I can barely see it at all.... |

next build I'm going to be sticking to Militia Gear simply because it's a waste of SP to try and get proto anything. I do just as well with a Exile and Skinweave as I do with a Krin and proto. |

I do agree with the OP though. The amount of ISK coming in and salvaged items is great now that there isn't a whole game with full militia loadouts. Plus killing a few tanks here and there gives a good return of isk.

OP, you made 991K ISK in a match, but how much did you spend?
I can go all BPO and make 200-300k in a match, but it is all profit. My experience running an 80k mid range fit is only slightly better overall performance and 250-400k payout, maybe breaking even if I'm lucky.
