So noticed some new BPO dropsuit variants on the market today so was wondering since we arent actually gettin a new build is it safe to assume that the weapons we saw via the testers tourney unlock wallpapers and the 2 new dropsuits (crusader & pilot) can be just added to the market with relevant skills etc without requiring a new build?
I would like to think that we'd at least get to test these new stuff before the masses come in Open beta so any necessary tweaks can be made before then.
Anyway any form of dev response on this would be greatly appreciated |

I think the plan is to run Chromosome long enough to make sure everything is stable. It was mentioned that the follow-on release would be new content. Those suit names have been in the database for quite some time now.
So, yes, new content is coming. But only when they are ready. Like always. |

So, yes, new content is coming. But only when they are ready. Like always. My theory is that they will nerf everything (not saying that they did it on purpose) so that new players in the open beta will get used to it quicker, then when CCP releases the new build the new players will have a better chance at competing with other players. |

Different named suit variations. Probably aurum based for variety but if I remember correctly some of the variations hinted at different specializations. I'm not logged into EVE right now to look but they are there if you have access.

We want to be able to introduce new items on the fly without waiting for a full update, so what you are seeing is partly from us testing this feature. Testing new things with new players in the open beta will give us a broader range of views and is a welcome addition alongside those from our venerated closed beta playtesters such as yourself. |

Talking about "new items". The top sellers had the Sever Type-I assault suit listed along with 7 day active/passive boosters. This is totally made up. The top selling items where not what other people bought it was that what CCP would like us to buy. Best example is that the so called Sever Type-I assault suit wasnt even listed on the marketplace at all. |

Although I don't understand how the valor scout suit was there this build when you never see anyone with it. Sever logistics suits are extremely popular though. |

Not really, i mean we have got to be loved by CCP Shanghai, I mean A lot of us Bought Aurum.... we put money into a game that hasn't hit release, This is almost like Kick-starting, It is a form of Investment. AND it makes CCP Shanghai look Great in the eyes of Sony and CCP (main)
so yea Venerated, "we love you for putting all of that time into this.... and your money ^_^" |

I don't read it that way. The dev is implying that we've become a howling, ravenous pack of inbred beta testers, our minds twisted by over-indulgence in serial suicides(it starts to feel good, after awhile) and repeated(but not quite perfect) mindwipes.

so what your saying is that this would make you able to add new items in with no prior warning and take them away just as swiftly.
looks like we will have to be checking the market even more often to make sure that we dont miss anything
of and cmndr wang can you confirm if we will be able to donate assests to our right away or is that for further down the road? |

According to this, not right away.
Quote:In particular the economic balance between a 10-year-old space simulation and a brand new free to play MMOFPS is an obvious concern. So, for this first release, any ISK transfer between EVE and DUST characters will be blocked. This will then be replaced by a taxable transfer mechanism with the intention of easing the currency control to 0% and removing it entirely once we are happy the economies have reached an equilibrium. source: http://community.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&nbid=74180
edit: Following is just speculation.
ISK transfers and donations will propably be disabled also. My reasoning for this is as follows. More specifically ISK transfers to individual DUST mercs propably will be disabled.
- One has corporation in EVE and that corp has ISK in corp wallet and EVE charachter in CEO position.
- Now Transfer that CEO position to DUST merc.
- If donations and corporation transfers to individual mercs arent disabled, then how we would know what ISK came from where?
There could also be DUST merc that created that corporation, that corp has some ISK and then transferred CEO position to EVE player. Now that EVE player transfers ISK to that corps wallet and passes CEO position back to DUST merc. Now how to differentiate which ISK is from where? |

Easy ... the way it's been running till now is the two are completely seperate ... DUST isk cannot be seen from Eve client and vice versa ... I imagine it will remain this way till the add a seperate wallet division in Eve for DUST isk and allow DUST CEO access to the Eve wallet divisions to select for transfers.
Edited to clarify : You can put isk in a corp wallet in DUST, but an Eve player in the same corp sees 0.00isk ... if that Eve player puts isk in any wallet division, doesn't matter which, that isk doesn't show in DUST. |
