The only relevant thread on this has been locked.
When I see an explosion from a grenade or even worse a Missile Turret, the explosions look no bigger than a meter in radius. Where's the boom?
I'm talking about flame and the ex prefix in explosion. These explosions that occur are like being hit by a non-existent football player. There's little visual effect to explosions.
On the other hand, my Mass Driver will leave a nice cloud of smoke after it blows up. So we at the very least need the smoke of MD. But fire too. |

smoke, maybe, but fire no. I like the actual explosion effects because they look a lot like real explosive battlefield weapons in action. usually there's a flash and a buncha crap flung about but no big fireballs.
now if we start flinging plasma grenades I'll change my tune. |

The explosions look small because the explosions are small. Seems fair. |

Not fire that catches fire, but the combustion of the explosion rather. Nothing like Napalm, more like an actual visible light and smoke from the missile blasts. I literally can't tell a missile is hitting aside from their noise, or the little effects it does on a vehicles.
They should kick up some dirt too. |
